SEGA GENESIS HOLY GRAIL Blockbuster World Video Game Championship II

What's the story behind this? Why would anyone think it would be worth that much?

If you read he description it claims to be the rarest Sega Genesis game. Not sure if that's true or not.

It looks like two crappy games on one cartridge. Even if it is rare, simply being rare does not always equal desirable.

It's actually mostly true, that it's among the rarest. The Sega Tetris cartridge, though, is easily the rarest.

I have no idea. I'm only vaguely aware of who that is.

He's a famous streamer, and his character likes to go on and on about how he won the blockbuster video game championship(this car its from) two years in a row(the person behind the character actually did this)

Judging by the way things are listed, you'd have thought that the "Holy Grail" is pretty common nowadays.

This Ebay lister decided to put an electronic board directly on *checks notes* a paper towel.

Wow. I guess expecting to sell it for 25k doesn't mean they'll respect and try to protect their investment. Easily one of the dumber Ebay listers I've ever seen.

The 2 time, back to back, 1993 1994, video game world champion, would say it worth $1,000,000.

What's wrong with a paper towel? It is made of wood particles, thus anti-static by nature.

People make wooden racks to hold their old computer add-in cards for the same reason.

Paper towels are not wood though and I'm not even sure you'd say wood is anti-static by nature.

It's incredibly sloppy to put hardware on a paper towel and no it's not anti-static.

What paper towels are you using?

Use wood or an anti static work mat (not a conductive mat! - they can KILL you - (These mats can conduct lethal mains voltage!)) for a work surface. Store parts in anti-static plastic bags (paper envelopes or cardboard boxes will work well enough for most applications just don't use plastic containers). Cardboard and paper are naturally anti-static as long as they don't have any plastic coatings. Cardboard containers are fine as long as they are not coated with black conductive materials that provide a destructive path for a static discharge. The only drawback to paper and cardboard containers is they don't provide the vapor barrier needed to preserve the solderability of surface mount parts.
