Destiny 2

This game is best experienced with friends. Most of the people in my clan are individuals I know in real life and hang out with regularly. My group and I actually did a flawless GoS run in 43 minutes.
100% agree

It's amazing how many people can't figure out the Heroic Contact event on IO when the mission tool tip tells you to bring the bosses together in order to drop their shields. Some days I wonder how many autistic people play this game or how many players have double digit IQ's.

I think a vast majority of people just like running around shooting things. I'm usually the only one running to and grabbing those orbs you need to trigger heroic. I get old Battlefield "Play the F****** Objective!" playing over and over in my head.

As far as it's shooting mechanics and the way the game feels, you would be hard pressed to find a game that's better for simply running around and shooting things. That's certainly one of the games' strengths.

I can't figure out how to get the bosses together half the time they move in opposite directions. Maybe it was just the outer people not paying attention and going after the bosses separately....it was super annoying for sure.

That's exactly what it is. If you just stay between them, they'll come together but randoms that have no idea just lead them away.

Its amazing considering it tells you on the HUD exactly what you need to do.

The ones that get me are the boss with the wizards that heal him, not only does it tell you in the HUD that he is being healed it marks the wizards with a floating freaking diamond over their head.

See, i'm guilty of ignoring those wizards. With the big anime sword, oppressive darkness and protective light to survive the slams, with 2-3 guys just swording the ogre, you can burn him down without touching the wizards lol

That sword is so, so good right now.

That's all fine and good if you have 2-3 with the sword. (I just unlocked it yesterday) That thing is ridiculous, one shot barrier, unstoppable, overpowered champions like they are paper.

I just unlocked it as well, still need to round up the right gear to make a build around it. I have precious little high stat Arc gear. Will probably play around with it at some point, maybe try to find a group for the new Dungeon. Should do it before they fix the check point scumming, but doubt I'll get time before the reset.

I just use the free 1 energy enhanced sword ammo scav which can go on any element boots from the artifact. Double them up in most cases. That and an arc helmet with double sword ammo finder. Haven't yet needed sword reserves since the finders and scavs keep you pretty well topped off.

Sadly the dungeon checkpoint cheese was patched today.

As for that sword, the absolute best possible roll would be Jagged edge, any guard, Relentless strikes and whirlwind blade. Those last two are most important.

Relentless gives you back ammo and every three light attack HITS, not even kills. Whirlwind stacks damage with every light attack hit up to x5 so you run in stacking whirlwind then do a heavy attack which is augmented by your stacks of whirlwind. Devastating. If you have a way to stay alive and survive boss stomps it's amazing what you can do. Combine this with an oppressive darkness nade... Watch bosses melt away. Hell champions don't stand a chance either.

I mainly play titan this season and last so a bubble is great, as is protective light.

Good info, thanks. I have watched a few good videos for Boss deleting Sword builds; I'll link the best synopses below. They recommended "Lucient Blade" & "Bleedinng Edge" mods on the same Arc piece, "Super Charged", "Charged with Light" & "High Energy Fire" on your Solar pieces, then however you like to gain Stacks of Light on your other piece. Then hit the Boss with Witherhoard (direct + an AOE if possible), Oppressive Darkness (void subclass or squadmate), Bubble / Well of Radiance, 5 light attacks then a heavy with the Guillotine. I haven't gotten all that together yet, and they fixed Witherhoard's random ability to do huge chunks of damage, but it still seems to out DPS everything else in the game... if you can get close enough with a sword. They need a mod to reduce / prevent knock back from Stomp.

They do this nearly every Season, release an intentionally broken weapon that gets everyone swarming to get their hands on it, then nerf it in time for the next Season's broken weapon(s). I haven't even been playing this game that long and can still see it routinely sprinkled throughout the game's history. We're all just puppets, lol.

Trinity Ghoul right now too. Great primary to use along with that sword. The ad clearing capability is incredible and silly fun to use.

One of the rare Catalysts I had fun getting. Funny that the last one I really enjoyed was Riskrunner. Maybe I'm Papatine incarnate and just don't know it yet.

I need to catch up on some of my exotic catalysts. I like this Whispering Slab bow quite a bit, too.

No question about it. Witherlord and Gullitone are all nerf fodder and we all know it.

Witherhoard? Outside of the glitch where it was breaking bosses which they fixed either last week or today, I don't see anything wrong with it. I'm starting to really like too now that the catalyst is complete. Trying to use it more where I would have used Mountaintop. Its great fun in Gambit.

I love those weapons. My point is: No matter what we all think it seems like if a weapon is "too good" it's doomed to nerfdom. ;)

I have no idea when I'll ever get the catalyst done but I'm trying. I really like using Witherhoard. It's fantastic crowd control. Gullitone has become my new lead heavy.

Ok. I did the weekly bounties and the dailies for the day for the prismatic recasters. I got Twisted Energy and did everything right and when I go there I have no way to rank it up. Is there some glitch or am I missing something? Is it just not enough to "move it up" for the week? That's a bummer.

What's the bar at? You'll know you ranked it up if you have an engram to claim from it.

Ok everything worked fine. The bar moved but I've got at least 1/4 or more of that bar to go before it "ranks up" again. I wish they offered a few other avenues to get some Twisted Energy. I do have a second character. I'll have to see if that's worth it.

It was worth it. I did all three characters the first 2 weeks, and only my main the 3rd. I'm now one unlock away from a full maxed Recaster.

You could just make a third, do the bounties, delete the char, and repeat. That was a strat a few people were using but I'm too invested in my three, couldn't do it.

I tried this with my Titan (Warlock main) and while it was viable, took prep (putting all your "good gear" in the Vault before you delete), and then playing through the intro mission, and first Season 11 mission before you could start on the Bounties. 30-40 mins, so not a huge deal, but I found it more of a pain. Unless you're after unlocking everything the first week (which you can't do until you unlock level what, 26? on the Season Pass anyway), then may find it unnecessary work.

So after 6 hours of IB yesterday and two characters done, i'm really loving the switch to CBMM. Now if I could only get a non-shit roll of the auto and sidearm.

I agree. I'm not feeling terribly motivated. ;) I think they were simply a tad too stingy on Twisted Energy venues. That's the real answer here.

between three characters mine was maxxed out before reset yesterday. Unless you are level 72 on the seasonal artifact there is no hurry to get the recaster ranked all of the way up since you cant use Improved Focusing until you unlock Umbral Enhancement III. Sure you get the benefit of the perks like decreased altered element cost etc. But you cant use the level three focusing until you unlock Umbral Enhancement III at artifact level 72

Yeah I think I got it fully upgraded last week sometime. There is a 1000 pack of the mat you need at level 90 something in the season pass that finished it for me.

It seems it was intentionally time gated.

Witherhoard with catalyst is pretty impressive. That and Falling Gullitone rarely leave my rotation unless I have to do certain bounty requirements. I really like Whispering Slab, too.

I'm quite motivated to work on Destiny this season. Unfortunately, I have very little time due to having two jobs.

I've had fun with it and I have enjoyed this much more than the bunkers. I meant going with multiple characters just to get that rank up the Recaster. I don't have the time, either.

I must say that they have given us alot of stuff to do this season. Unfortunately im burnt out from last season. I love the weekly changes on the different locations.

I'm a little salty about doing Solstice armor again... however I love that the European Aerial Zone is coming back. I really loved that environment.

I'm liking Ruinous Effigy a whole lot.

Experimenting time is coming. ;) Not sure how to get catalyst.

Its stupid fun and you should get the catalyst to drop on your first orb kill. Completing it is like any other, get kills but you get bonus progress from shooting Savathun's Eyes on Titan, Io, Mercury, the Whisper mission (can be done solo, all pre-enemy areas) and Prophecy. Getting that 50th in the Prophecy boss room was.. interesting. You have to push the boss to a 3rd damage phase then its in the Knight room when you port back in. You can track where they all are when which ones you have on Braytech.org (have I mentioned how incredible that site is?).

Needed all 50 for the Triumph and Title anyway so we knocked that out last night.

Really, really loving that gun so far.

Two home runs from Bungie between Ruinous Effigy and Witherhoard. Both are super fun to use and not to terribly difficult to get. Dunking orbs on a crowd of mobs is super satisfying, red bars just evaporate and yellow bars take a big chunk of damage. The debuff mechanic when guarding is pretty awesome too. Ruinous Effigy catalyst was the easiest one I've ever completed, only need to shoot about half the Savuthun's eyes to complete it. I completed it doing all but the eyes on Mars and in the new dungeon (still haven't been in there yet)

Altered element is starting to really pile up (close to 4000 in my inventory without even doing daily quests any more) Improved armor focusing being gated behind reaching lvl 72 of the season pass rewards is kind of a bottleneck causing the stockpile of altered element. On the plus side I'll have plenty of them to "farm" rolls.
