I don't want to hear journlaists opinions, and definitely don't want their input included in the game.
Are there even "journalists" anymore? I thought it was just "influencers" now.
I would tend to agree on not wanting their input on the game. CDPR has a vision for the game. Don't change that because journalist(s) have their own opinions (and likely wants something changed just to be able to tell everyone how it was their input).

Oh, no, who could've seen this coming? It's just so shockingly expected that it barely qualifies as news.

But it's finished, guys, just like it was finished half a year ago, and again before that, trust us. It has nothing to do with our long mismanagement record, high turnover rate and abysmal working conditions.

Cyberpunk 2019 2020 2077 will be the most polished game of the decade. Which decade remains to be seen, though.

Have you ever complained about a game being buggy?

the delay doesn't bother me as much as how it was handled...why did CDPR spend so much time assuring everyone a few months back when the COVID crisis hit that the game was still on schedule and would not be delayed??...pretty crappy thing to do to get people's hopes up

I've gotten past the point of caring about game release dates. I have plenty of games in my backlog to keep me busy - I can wait for sales on games I want, and get the entire game instead of half the game with a "season pass".

Put on your conspiracy theory hats boys... Maybe they are pushing the release to line up with widespread RTX 3000 availability? I figured this would be the pack-in game with purchase from AIB partners.

If a video game getting delayed 2 months crushes your hopes you should probably use the two months for some self-reflection.

If anything this might be pushed just to allow AMD's new cards to proliferate, that or the new consoles too... and so on. I'm not worried about it really. September to November push is basically nothing.

Games “journalism” has been a joke for years, as have the “official” reviews, which seem more subject to the personal, social biases of the author rather than anything to do with how good the game is or whether or not the target audience for the game will enjoy it.

Case in point, here’s some hot garbage regarding the game “Monster Hunter”, where the people reviewing the game appear to be more fixated on how upset they were about....ummmm....hunting monsters....than anything to do with gameplay or how much fun the game may be to players who are interested in hunting monsters, otherwise known as the target audience for a game literally called “Monster Hunter”.

In short, I wouldn’t rely on any review from “the gaming media” or “games journalists” with regard to whether or not I will play Cyberpunk. CD Projekt Red has a good track record so far of release an excellent gaming experience, and I will purchase and play Cyberpunk regardless of what some idiot at Polygon or IGN thinks of it. Just like when checking movie reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, ALWAYS go with the audience.

I’m personally glad they’re delaying the game rather than pulling an EA and releasing something half-finished and then subjecting us to 10GB patches a week later, and then a month later, and then two months later, trying to fix things that shouldn’t be broken and treating paying customers like glorified beta testers.

did you not read the part where I said "the delay doesn't bother me as much as how it was handled"??...or did you just skip that part?

what if they're "in the know" and this delay is really just to buy enough time for the transhumanistic future to begin taking hold so we can enjoy the game the way it was meant to be played - directly through a cable into our visual cortex

Sweet jesus, a developer applying a polish and tune pass even though they have something they could crap out right now?

Be still my beating heart. I like the idea of my first playthrough not being a beta test, honestly.

no a developer using that as an excuse just to delay the game for the new console release plus next-gen GPU's from Nvidia/AMD...if you think the game is not going to have bugs on Day 1 you're fooling yourself

Good. I hope they take all the time they need. It's not like you nerds have nothing else to play while waiting!

Yup, last thing I want with my games is lots of politically correct soy. It doesn't belong there and I hope CDPR is just using them for bug finding.

I highly doubt they'd be making major content changes this late in the game. If they're doing mass previews then the game is likely content complete and they're doing a bunch of QA. Unless something major comes up in previews that they didn't already known about I wouldn't count on them using the opinions and impressions as anything other than marketing fluff.

This is when you hype up game releases to look like a Hollywood main event, too much drama folks it is a 60 video-game not a life changer.
You know the console version is more important than the PC one, no designer requires a top tier card to run their art, it is financial suicide to expect a buyer to shell out 500 for a CPU/MB and 1K-2K for a video card.
For CP 2077 to be successful one must be able to play it on a console or no frills PC.

if that was the only worry. I expect outrage articles demanding trigger warnings, or outright removing "problematic" themes from the game.

Who needs social media influencers anyway? think this game is going to gloss over like GTA series it will be good complete but nothing ground breaking like some recent titles. I had it preordered like 9 months ago on Steam already anyway.

you will now only be able to buy the game after your corona vaccination and mark of the beast tattoo/implant. :alien:

uh, crysis? gta v? uh cyberpunk? that's the nice thing about pc.. you may be able to run the game on outdated hardware, you'll just have to turn down the eye candy. but every once in a while there comes a game that people WILL upgrade their rigs for.

Sounds like a strategic delay so it'll be a release title alongside the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Judging from previous consoles, they were all released in November. I'm going to guesstimate that next-gen release date will be on November 20, 2020.

Not in this times of COVID and economic uncertainty they do not. We build custom rigs and do networking and a lot of our customers are not going forward they are in retreat mode on spending.

So why do you care if its delayed? Just like to complain? Star Citizen backer?
Why do you care that someone reflects on predicted delays in a mismanaged development in the very thread about one such delay? Is this a safe space forum? Only fangirl gushings while stroking puppies?

This is fine by me! Makes is for certain the new Nvidia/AMD cards will be out. Then we can get the new hotness of GPU's to max out this badass game out with some good framerates. I would rather has it done, instead of releasing a crappy bug filled game.

“The game play is fun to play and will provide hours of entertainment, but I’d like to spend the rest of this review discussing my concerns with what the female characters were wearing and my opinion on how I felt gender roles were portrayed and how it made me feel attacked.”

- A Polygon or Kotaku reviewer, probably

They'll complain that the cyborg females have unrealistic body shapes, and gloss over the fact that they can also lift and throw a car.
"Sure, you've replaced 75% of my body with machines, but you know - go ahead and stop at a B cup."
