Destiny 2

God I hope they move past bunker/tower/grind the same event over and over to upgrade shit that will be useless by next season soon. I just couldn't give two shits about upgrading any of my bunkers this season, grinded out my revoker and fel winters lie shotty and stopped once those were complete.

Hopefully they don't screw up next season. They are losing people left and right.

So that clip was leaked for the Fall expansion, not next season. We'll see more about that on June 9th.

Today however will be information about next week/Season 11. However whatever we get is likely set it stone so I doubt it'll be much more than another "grind for x to upgrade x" style system.

I know they need to make THIS season worth it to keep people around. The fall won't do well if people give up now.

Haven't they moved off a bunch of devs/resources onto the "next" game? Thought I remembered hearing this right around when they broke up with Activision/Blizzard.

I think its called matter, but yes I have heard that they pulled some key figures that were involved with better expansions such as forsaken away from destiny 2 to work on matter which is very disappointing to me.

It shows. We need more Taken King and Forsaken caliber content and not what way too much of this season was like and especially with the bunker tedium grinds and all. They are losing people left and right and they need to have an epiphany.

Blaming Activision unfortunately was a scapegoat. We all thought it was going to be a renaissance getting away from Activision but that's not what we are seeing and I can't believe I'm saying that.

There have been a lot of Destiny people that even went back to part 1 and there have always been certain common talking points that a lot of the fans voiced that have fallen on deaf ears with Bungie.

I'll simply say it again: They are at do or die with this game now.

I think Activision was criticized fairly. If they were still in charge we would have had dropped support for D2 in December and D3 would be the fall game at 60$ or 150 for those who buy the collectors ed. I think bungie has some huge ideas but no resources to do it. They have become very lazy with their content that is just plain fact. I think if they get a publisher that would throw more money and resources at them they would be better off. I totally 100% agree with you. This is do or die time for them. The Covid pandemic is not helping their shortfalls either.

This part kills me because its so true. The potential with this game is astronomical but season after season its one step forward two steps back.

Gladd's 10 minute recap for those who weren't there.

Action starts around 3:15.

Yeah the live event was a thing for sure......it took way to long for this to happen. The best part was the last 5 mins of the event, too bad it took 1hr and a half to get to that point.....The crashing of the allmighty into the mountains was cool and the damage to the tower was kinda cool but uneventful. I was literally standing next to the antenna when it happened and all that happened was it disappeared and that hole in the wall appeared .

This stuff about Destiny 2 being screwed if this season isn't all that good is a bit exaggerated. People leave and come back all the time. I barely played this last season because it was boring as hell. The content was lazy and uninspired compared to other seasons. I also wouldn't expect much out of this season. I can almost guarantee they are putting all the effort into the next expansion. Hopefully, it's got more content than Shadowkeep had. While good, it was way too small an expansion.

I'm definitely intrigued and especially the way they talk about what's clearly been some long term narrative plans. They made some specific comments about some of the season choices and so forth I found encouraging and proved to me they aren't living in a glass bubble, too.

Right now I like this better than the entire bunker phase. Unfortunately, they are still having server issues with anteater codes and even just past this. A few weeks ago I had to replace my router so I know it's not on my end. They need to fix this up. If anything is going to discourage people it's going to be this nonsense.

Everytime they patch the game network and connection errors abound. It's probably not us, it's them. This cycle occurs every damn time for me.

It's sad this has become part of the routine.

Perhaps the network issues will be lessened with the content vault. Just spitballing about how the ballooning size and difficulty of patching also leads to difficulty with connections.

reducing the game size or world even in this case could make things worse as there would be more players in close proximity. There are games with vastly bigger worlds that don't suffer nearly as much as these guys do, on the other hand this is an fps not a game like wow with abilities on a 1 sec gcd

Ok so the PvE tryhards have the dungeon beat already (1040 power btw). We figured out the first pretty awesome mechanic and got to a damage phase of the first boss (we were 1013, 1005 and 1008) but just didn't have the damage to kill him quick enough. So far though, that dungeon is awesome. Really impressed with the new mechanic they came up with!

Following the past few seasons, there is a new overly cumbersome "thing" that you have to upgrade and what feels like 3 new currencies to manage so that is pretty tedious and I feel can be improved upon.

Overall i'm happy to have something to grind towards again!

In the past 6 hours, the only error our group saw was me getting beavered just as I was flying to the tower to get off for the night so they must have done something between early this afternoon and 6pm est when I got on.

My Guardians are all still in the 970-ish power range because I bailed out of last season pretty early. I was a little bummed to see the "upgrade bunker" mechanic again at the new console in the Drifter's area, but apart from that it looks interesting and I'll probably put some play time in.

The good part is that this one seems to be in one place rather than scattered across a bunch of different worlds.

It's better than the bunkers. I'm playing this more now than I have for weeks.

I love that new Grenade Launcher but the blight spamming in PVP... the nerf is coming. Fun weapon.

ya, that new blight launcher has rendered titan barriers and warlock wells useless and I love it. Warlock wells arnt so common in pvp but titan barrier are, its so nice not having to waste a grenade to flush a titan out of his barrier hole now lol

Not to mention its compeltely broken in raid boss fights. Its melting the GoS final boss in less than 2 seconds. Calus basically instantly dies. Its clearly bugged.

In a few hours from about 6-10pm I got from 965 to 1000 just doing the new public events and the new questline steps in Means to an End. So, now I'm basically caught up to all my friends or very near it. I'll probably have to grind a bit in the back end but it seems to have really allowed me to catch up quickly.

Pre-1000, you can just buy Shaxx or Zavala to level up, given you have the mats to spare.
