In a recent interview with wccftech, Ebb Software's Game Director Ljubomir Peklar explained why the Scorn trailer for Xbox Series X was labeled as 'in-engine footage representative of expected Xbox Series X visual quality'. Ljubomir Peklar revealed that the trailer was actually run on a high-end system featuring an RTX 2080 Ti paired with a Ryzen processor. The game is set to target 4K 60 FPS with high graphical fidelity on Xbox Series X but a 2070 Super with a mixture of settings is adequate to run the game at 4K 60 FPS on PC.

Yeah I saw that too. Interesting that they are showcasing on a system with a RTX 2080 Ti for the PC version of the game. Maybe RDNA2 will be better than what the performance numbers suggest from the TFLOP numbers.

Not surprising. Probably they are still optimizing the game and wanted to show the best possible graphics. Hopefully it will run that good when released.

The only PC GPU that can approach XBox Series X performance :D.

The good news is that it will play on a 2080 Ti card. WTH is this game about anyways? Guts coming out of someone eyes is sorta strange.

Nah, it's been quoted as around 2080 perf, not Ti.

RDNA 2 SoC? Doubt.

I've heard around that realm to between that and Ti.
But we don't know how well AMD handles RT, their patent/method is different and may allow for flexibility and more efficient mixed use of die space.

Plus async RT and shading vice serial method Nvidia currently employ.

Turing supports async compute as well if that’s what the implication is.

I doubt you will get an answer as a lot BS is posted with no foundation in reality...we now have "Wait for RDNA2 raytracing!" to add to the list of "wait for x AMD tech"...with a terrible track-record...

I know what he is trying to say, he's just using the wrong words. But I highly doubt that partitioning their compute shaders is going to be any faster than dedicating hardware to the process. I mean, the reason asynchronous compute even became a thing was because AMD's shaders were sitting idle most of the time and created the lie that AMD cards run DX12 better than NVIDIA cards.

I know...but some people to this day are immune to facts.
They still think that AMD's underutilised pipeline that had to be fixed with async, meant that AMD had a benefit, while the opposite was infact true.

This line of "reasoning" that we see now reeks of the same FUD.

according the same link in he OP:

Thus leading to one of the largest complaints in modern gaming. The games rarely look like they are showcased pre-released, if actual game play is even shown at all.

How about just waiting until the game is ready before showing it? And before anyone says anything about how the console is pre-release yadda yadda, this issue happens even when games are releasing on systems that are currently launched.
