Looking for a free cell service since I rarely use the phone and I don't see the justification of spend money on it.
Used app based ones like Ringtone and some other, but they tend to big down my phone to a crawl.
Edit: review I'm seeing say they're scammy.

I used it for a while for my father's spare cell phone. He refused to spend a nickel. He got by with it for about 2 years but then they stopped supporting his phone (I think that's what he told me).

They are constantly trying to force you into buying a small plan (like $1.99 a month) for small things like HD voice, etc. Customer service are sales people trying to get you to spend money.

Think I tried it once but gdit they charged for 5 bux for anything you did. So I dropped it like a bad habit and found Mint Mobile and love it.

Pretty much what I saw with the other reviews, think they also charge people $20 just incase they might go over 200mb.

Do they spam your phone with Ads or have to use a app to use it?

My brother got it for my mom a few years ago and it was complete garbage. She constantly couldn't receive calls and making calls was hit or miss. They also kept charging her after canceling the service. Took several calls to finally stop them charging. Avoid it at all costs.

It's VOIP on Sprint's network. Definitely hit or miss depending on your Sprint coverage in your area. Not sure how the whole T-mobile merger will change things (if at all).

Yea and it was horrible if you weren't connected to WiFi. Useless actually.

freedompop is garbage. There service drops and with the free plan as everyone stated they continue to send you ad to upgrade.
