Thermaltake V21 - front filter and case temp

Thinking about getting this case, and watched a video where the reviewer mentioned removing the filter on the front panel dropped the internal case temp by 5C. Pretty considerable.

Anyone have similar experience or maybe have replaced with a less restrictive filter.

I'd like to keep some sort of filter on to keep pet hair out, and to muffle fan noise a bit.

nope, i just clean it a bit more. would rather have the lower temps.
 
I had this case for about a year with a 7700K and a 1080Ti

Temps were always great and it was extremely quiet.

I did replace the front 200mm fan with the Noctua version - can't remember how much difference it made, I just kind of do that regardless (I still h ave that fan sitting around)

It's a very good case for a quiet PC, it's just a little big for "true" SFF, but I'd leave the filter in and run a Noctua DH15S - you shouldn't have any issues....
