Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019

well you can call in a loadout drop, and I only have attachments for the guns you find on the map. and theres only like 3 different ones you see often. theres definitely a advantage for players that own the game. I'll never get to call in a weapon with a thermal scope. it sort of feels pay to win.

Ahh that explains why when i kill people some of them have custom guns. Thanks for the heads up.

welcome, I'm still figuring things out. but its strange that theres like 3 or 4 weapons that you find on the ground and in chests. theres the 1 shotgun, the 1 sub machine gun, and the 2 AR rifles. while the game has many more guns. sometimes you find other guns but they are rare.

That would be mostly the point, crappier weapons are usually more common, the better one rarer, you have to way off how much you want to look for gear vs getting to where you need to be or how much yoou want to kill.

So what do people normally do. I assume it's best to roll with your squad? I've only played plunder. But only once did I have my teammates trying to link up. Like get in a vehicle together to go find the high cash targets.

I guess it might be because I'm playing with strangers.

got my first win last night. they really need to do something about the lack of footsteps. heartbeat sensor is a must for me in my loadout.

Not completely true. The HDR sniper gets a thermal scope as one of its first unlocks. I use it all the time, and I don’t own the main game.

yeah I've learned the guns arent hard to level up in plunder. I got most of the stuff for my m4 now. played a few rounds tonight and no one used their mic. also got matched by myself several times. had enough and played tarkov. game really needs solos, theres kinda no point in playing unless your friends are online.

Speaking of game needing solo's they added BR solo's today. Tried it a couple of times, but I'm just not that good in BR.

The mode I am enjoying the most and doing better is Plunder. Last match I played I finished 10th with $532k and that was with a team of two pretty much from the beginning and the other guy wound up dropping half way.

I have to say I really love this iteration of COD the devs have done a great job. Movement and gameplay are awesome. Positional audio is meh, but aside from that is great. Too bad the base game is still pretty much full price.

Got my first "chicken dinner" in BR ever playing just with my boss/buddy (no third squad-mate).... (y)

I'm tempted to give this a try now that they added solos but man does it suck having to download the whole game just to play the BR.

the whole game is 175gb. the BR standalone is 80

Yep BR only:

If you team communicates well, easy win most of the time. If you team is like mine most of the time, no one says a word other than me and we lose. WTF is wrong with people. Out of 20 games, my 2 wins were because we talked the whole time. Hell even one with just 2 people and a circle that ended at the prison.

Often when I play Plunder I am not placed on team but am by myself. I am not playing with a party but still this is annoying and kind of kills it, any way to put yourself on a squad like BF.

Also man the maps are huge, once you die it can take ages just to find your team mate. Almost makes it not worth going to them, am I doing it wrong?

This is my first COD game ever, I haven't played a FPS since Payday 2 years ago. I just beat campaign and think going to do co-op next. I am hesitant to play online multiplayer because I am really bad (trred battle royale and just die). Any tips or recommendations to get better?

Play the BR practice mode, it will put you in a tight ratio of other players, that way you can get a feel for the guns etc. with other new players.

After playing hardcore forever in any of the BR modes it feels like I am lucky if a whole clip kills someone. I am probably used
to HC helping my not so good aim but still. I have had clean shots at people unaware and it takes a ton of bullets to kill someone.

Just started playing a few days ago. Like others, it's been awhile since I've played an FPS like this; first time for BR as well. Is it me or do people pretty much stay put? I'm not saying they're camping, but doesn't seem like there is a lot of activity aside from the first few minutes.

I get the same vibe and that's why I've been playing kill confirmed or domination almost exclusively. TDM seems to be a camp fest or maps seem too big

20GB update now live!

Load out drop raised price from $6000 to $8500

whoa, good move on their part

Hmm, you have a problem with it? I dont think its amazing but its pretty good. Damn good with both my headset setups.
yes its the reason I don't play the game much. people have walked right up next to me and I dont hear them. sometimes I do, but its rare. and its never easy to hear. I've never had an issue with any other game. My pc case is on the noisy side, and I use open back headphones. I'm thinking some closed back headphones or earbuds would help but I dont want to change for this one game.

alot of people have almost no footstep audio https://www.reddit.com/r/CODWarzone/search?q=footsteps&restrict_sr=1

I was watching summit play a week ago and he went on a whole rant about how theres no footstep audio

I use surround sound and don't have an issue hearing people. I forget what they're called, but one of the abilities you can select is the ability to silence your steps by pressing X. It lasts for a certain amount of time...I use it all the time to sneak up on people

Interesting, I never knew it was an issue for a lot of people. That definitely sucks but luckily I’m good.

Sennheiser Game Zero headset with sound blaster z card on my 1080ti build and Corsair void wireless rgb headset with onboard audio on my 2080 super build.

both are great

I know of that ability but I don't hear people from start of the game. before they have that perk on the loadout unless they get lucky and find it on the ground. how well do you guys hear people? say two buildings are next to each other, would you hear someone in the other building?

can’t really answer the building Sound question properly because it’s all relative.

its possible if they are close to your side but the I haven’t played the game enough yet to gauge how close they are. Soo many staircases and levels in some of the buildings.

Also, pro tip, to make much less noise WITHOUT the dead silence perk, CROUCH

Makes a huge difference in the noise you make.

I dont know why, but I turn into a terrible person when playing and talk shit a lot, anyone else do the same?

Nope. I only play with RL friends so it's not a concern..

- Do we curse? Sure.

- Do I spit the lyrics to C.R.E.A.M. all too often in Blood Money/BR? Absolutely ;)

Depends on the distance. Definitely outside.

Honestly, this is one area where dedicated Sound Cards still shine. My Creative Sound Blaster Z + Audio Technica M50 combo can easily pick up footsteps outside whatever building I'm in using the default (reference) or Home Theater sound settings.

Regardless: Don't forget to shut doors behind you. Regardless of footstep noise, doors are a hell of a lot easier to hear. Nevermind the fact people are FAR more likely to miss your Claymore/Proximity Mine you put right behind the entrance if you shut the door first...

Can somebody please tell me why the fuck i am not able to ALT-TAB out of Modern Warfare on BOTH of my PC setups???

It just hard crashes to desktop, on both different setups, immediately upon alt-tab'ing.

Both full screen, both 2560x1440 but on latest nvidia drivers with everything else up to date. I can not figure this shit out.

I tried that -d3d11 in game settings, that worked for like 30 minutes and then back to this shit again. Says "directx encountred an unrecoverable error"

*SHRUGS*

Not sure but you can always just hit the Windows key to show the task bar and go from there. Not as nice, but when I need to check something on the internet and whatnot I will do that.

Interesting, i will try that and see if i get the same error.

mine wont minimize, it stays full screen and brings up whatever else I have open when I alt tab. also, are BR solos dead? takes like 5-10 tries for me to get into a sub 100 ping server. it tries to find one at 40 ping, then moves to 70, then up and up.
