Fallout: Miami

Sorry dude, you can't fix a systemically broken game engine by adding a new location.

The only folks who continue to play this terrible sequel are the folks addicted to Settlement Building. For those of use who weren't looking for The Sims: wasteland expansion pack, the replay value is nonexistent.

Fallout: Corona would be awesome.

The division do a nice role nowadays with that thematic..

To stay on topic, I agree with defaultluser I consider myself as a huge fallout 4 fan with really hundred of playtime, but that's due mods 99% for sure, you can play the game history only a couple of times before the "heck this again" effect start.. the replay value is really limited on this game.

It wasn't that bad, but I hated the settlement building but never did much of that. The combat was good, but every step forward was another backwards in the RPG / story branching department. It didn't have the dynamics of 3 or NV. Inventory system still sucked but at least it had weapon hot keys.

So, the only plus for you was FPS, and hotkeys? That's pretty weak.

I could name a half-dozen FPS games with vastly superior combat in the last ten years. My problem with Fallout 4 is that, though the FPS improvd, they also ditched anything remotely useful from VATS (they broke it so badly that even mods to fix it don't work properly) .

One step forward, fifty steps back.

Lump me into the group of fans who is addicted to the game and believe, through actual playing of the game, that FO4 works properly as long as Bethesda doesn't goof things up through one of their store updates.

Been waiting on Fallout: Miami for a long time. Excited to see a progress update. Little tidbit updates like help keep me from thinking Miami is another vaporware piece.

The engine was broken but the games were good, up to Falout 4 which was step down but still addicting. I am glad to be able to play another Fallout game in a vein of FO3 and New Vegas by people who actually understand what Fallout. Bethesda has completely lost their marbles, especially when it comes to Fallout. And even if Bethesda had neutered the RPG mechanics of Fallout 3 and NV, the engine is still the same and therefore highly customisable, nothing prevents Miami coders from putting them back in, except maybe time.

Think Bethseda will go after the creators like CBS and Nintendo do for other fan mods of their proprietary property? or is this really still within in the spirit of the Fallout modding system?

I don't think they would for now but then again Fallout 76 still exists so I won't put anything past them.
They already backed off the monetizing of mods when there was a huge backlash. The modding community has fixed their games and in the process helped make Bethseda millions. At least for now they aren't biting that hand. If they crushed a project like this it would probably be a shotgun blast to the face for Bethseda. You know they want to make money off modding they just haven't figured out how and still have people buy their broken games.
