Only QHD is a deal breaker.

"Smartphones might be the first thing you think of when you think about Samsung, and 4K TVs likely come next. You know what those two things have in common? The display is the most important feature on each. They’re designed to be looked at, of course, and it really doesn’t get any better than Samsung when it comes to screens. That’s also true of Samsung’s PC monitors, which is why you definitely should take advantage of Amazon’s current sale on the Samsung Electronics “The Space” QHD Monitor. It’s a gorgeous display that’s practically bezel-free, and it has a brilliant design that clips to the back of your desk and frees up so much space. It comes in two different sizes and both are $130 off right now."

The Best Buy $250-$50 gift card tempted me real bad. Other than not being IPS looked like a great deal. 1440p 144hz and freesync now with a firmware update at this price without being a B panel supplier looked great. The problem is my desk would not have likely worked after reading into the requirements.

The price drops are most likely because the somewhat limited desk options that could very well affect sales (and possibly a lot of returns for the same reasons)

These are known for poor backlight uniformity, which kinda ruins the point of a VA panel (great blacks). Its a decent monitor, but i think you could probably find a better panel/picture, for the money.

What're the limited desk options? You mean that it needs a certain type of sturdy desk to actually be mounted to?

Just asking. Didn't know of this monitor and may consider it for my front desk staff as I get a system built for them. The main missing component right now is the monitor so I'm in the market for something decent at a good price.

Not all desks have enough "lip" for a clamp type mount. Also if you want to lower the monitor it looks like that would also bring it further in to the desk space...?

And you wont be able to have a desk snug up against the wall.

It does not appear to have any swivel or rotation.

Does this thing have VESA 50mm mounting mechanism on it???

I'd consider them if I can swap to my dual arm stand. I see there is an option to buy it with a stand on the amazon page, so I'm guessing it does support separate mounts???

So tempting.. I especially like the "40 more usable desk area". :ROFLMAO:

Space saving design with integrated arm stand provides 40 more usable desk area

That being said, it is pointless for gaming without adaptive refresh rate support (freesync/g-sync)

With a firmware update, it has Freesync.
