Which speaker will be better for casual gaming, movies and music ? I heard the Edifier has clearer sound but not so good with bass. I used a Microlab FC861 which I thought had good bass. Coming from that speaker which would be the better choice; Logitech or Edifier ?

I haven't heard anything from Logitech that would suffice as a speaker yet. If those are your only options then the Edifier. However world is full of high quality active speakers. Look for JBL 104 etc.
what about bass in Edifier ?

No speaker of that size is gonig to blow your socks off. The reviews of the Edifier say that it has a boomy overpowering bass which means it's not very linear. It would probably work better if the bass reflex tube was blocked. Personally I would go to pro audio instead, you tend to get more bang for buck there. I would not buy any speaker without listening to it first - at your home even.
The room and the placement in the room effect the sound in a huge way.
