Steam controller is $5 right now. Shipping was more than the controller lol. I grabbed one to give it a try.

Sale ongoing until December 3rd. Seems to be US only.

Edit: Shows OOS as of December 1.

i run this controller for gta 5 and ive gotten used to the quirks.. id buy a backup..

I hurried over here to post this as soon as I saw it but Warrior is on it.

Shipping ($7.99 for me) kinda kills the hotness, and I don't need yet another damn controller 'cause I agree with the person above me.

Still... $13 and change still seems hot. Besides, my Steam Link could use some company as it gathers dust in the corner. In for 1, dammit.

I have 2 Xbox 360 controllers and an Xbox One controller (got with my OG Rift). Still...you got me, Valve. You got me!

is this better then the PS4 controller as far as using it for PC games?

It's super subjective imho. I personally didnt care for its concave design. Feels really odd to me. Outside of that its pretty good. I do love me the dual shock though when it works well.

They are amazingly configurable and great for couch browsing or simply skipping a video while in the kitchen, let alone racing games etc. Solid price, heavy and well built.
I'd buy a second one if I was in the States.

Not even for free. Xbox One wireless controller works perfect in every game that has controller support so I like to keep things simple.

I use a 360 controller. I bought the $5 Steam link and I use it a little. That controller looks like I would hate it, so it's not worth even $5+ shipping to find out for sure

Support wise it should be the same as a Xbox controller since it has the same button layout. I prefer using a PS4 controller but since most games use Xbox button layouts it drives me nuts and not want to play the game lol.

I bought one years ago and barely used it. Recently went back to mess with it and can't find the dongle. I guess they were updated to support BT but you need the dongle in order to connect it to update the firmware...

For me that answer is a definite NO. It is very configurable that much is true, but overall I tried my best to get use to it for Dark Souls 3 IIRC, and just couldn't stand it. It felt very uncomfortable to me, the X button felt far away because of it's position and you can accidentally press the B or Y button trying to press it in a hurry. In the end I shelved it and went back to my PS4 controller.

Tempting tempting....hmmmm...wish they'd specify that it doesn't put your games on the tv, it's just a normal controller. A little misleading advertising.

I just spent like $60 on this lol. God damn...

I like it... since the thumb pad works like a mousepad, you can navigate around your screen (in my case my TV) without a mouse/keyboard at all.

I like it for games like The Witcher 3, ect.

I got a steam controller a few years ago and I really liked it. $5 is a steal

I cant add more than one to my mobile cart. Is that a thing from PC desktop web browser? Id like four in one order to save on shipping for use in local PC play with my kids.

For $13.35 shipped, I might as well give it a shot.

Thanks OP

I jumped on this this morning. I had contemplated it many times in the past, just couldn't do the $50 (or sale $35-45) with at the time so many bad reviews mixed in. $5 is totally worth the risk though, and reviews are up from before.
They will NOT let you order two though, so its $12.99 each no matter how man you buy :/

Looks like some cancellations are going out. I ordered mine a few hours after the sale went live and it still says "Processing".

Just checked mine, ordered when it said "few units available" or something like that, it shipped, will be here Tues.

Mine says it's delayed due to high demand but still shipping. Fingers crossed.

I bought one a few years ago and hated it so much that I gave it away. It's totally subjective, though. Seems like the people that like them REALLY like them and vice versa with folks like me who hate them. For what it's worth, it seems like the people that like them generally don't use other pads and vice versa as well.

Would this be any good for snes emulators? Or too hard to use this as a d pad style controller?
