Acer Predator X38 - 37.5", 3840x1600, 175 Hz, G-Sync, HDR400

It uses the same panel, so i don't see it dropping the price much. Personally im not a fan of acer either. Every product of theirs I have bought failed after 2 years and they just feel more cheaply made in most cases.

100% would be the same panel, and thus must cost more than its LG brother because of the predator branding.

It will probably have a 3 year warranty instead of the 1 year you get with the LG. A 1 year warranty on a monitor of this price is inexcusable. I'd rather wait for this.

I'd rather get the LG, Acer QC is meh at best, better than Asus but not by much. Especially now that I'm a dad. I don't like things in my house branded "Predator"........really wish Acer could've come up with a better name for their gaming line. Lmao.

I have the LG on order but now have to consider options, if this is coming then a Asus may also release one soon, the only thing I don’t like with LG is the 1yr warranty for such a high cost monitor

Probably a sign that LG has gotten production quantities of the panel up.

The Predator monitors aren't this. Some are even best in class. But the panel lottery does apply to all vendors, so the biggest two factors are going to be retail cost and return convenience. I don't really care who makes the monitor so long as they're all up to 'spec'.

[I'll note that I have a 27" Predator with a 165Hz IPS panel in front of me right now, and it's color accuracy measures essentially perfect, which is what TFTCentral also shows... and it's over three years old now, while still among the top of its class for panel speed -- that isn't every Acer Predator of course, but I'll have to say for myself, I'm impressed]

Asus Strix is the best, my friend has a 144hz predator monitor and when he played a game on my 120hz 4K monitor he said it felt smoother!

Where did you order the LG from?
