Destiny 2

Grinding that Izanagi's Burden catalyst was painful. The leviathan should be pretty much empty of legionaries now ... you're welcome.

Shuro Chi room + tether is your friend for weapon kill catalysts. Izanagi's took like 10 minutes in there lol.

I hate you ... lol. This took me two nights as a warlock.

I finally dove into Comp (Survival Solo) playlist the last two nights to finish off Randy's Throwing Knife and boy, is it much easier to get to Fabled as a mediocre PvP player this season. Jumped to 1100 one night then 2100 the next and it was more or less an enjoyable experience regardless of the few curb stomps I received by three solo Unbroken's.

Randy's? This gun is very fun. With Rapid Hit/Kill Clip and Extended Mag, you can really wipe the floor with multiple targets at range very quickly. Reload's fast with 5x Rapid Hit then lay into more with Kill Clip. Once you can get a streak going, its quite satisfying. Really enjoying this gun!

If you have any desire at all to get it, or the Undying title/seal, Momentum Control with a Jade Rabbit is the way to go and its live until the 19th!

And just for others who are scared of Comp. Comp is much much easier than ever to get ranks. I hit Legend for the first time despite coming close (got to about 4.5k-5k every previous season). You might be surprised how high you can climb. A lot of my clan mates are seeing themselves freelance up to 4.5k-4.8k and then the rest of us Legends will take them into 3v3 to get them to the finish line. If anyone here is on PC and just wants a chill group to PVP or raiding with hit me up.

Also regarding Momentum Control, play a wraith hunter if you're gonna do it. The experience is MUCH more enjoyable.

I'm closing in on fabled in comp. I'm kind of a sucky pvp player, although I do pretty well in IB. My main annoyance is that for most solo teams I end up on, the other 2 players immediately run off in different directions from each other, then I randomly pick one to try to stick with. I'll often see opposing teams that stick together, and that's brutal when my team seems to all be doing their own thing. Communication is hard to non-existent in solo-comp, which isn't surprising I guess.

ETA: does anyone know if you can just drop back from late in Heroic 3 to the start of Heroic 3 , or can you drop back all the way to Heroic I? I'm sure current comp is way easier than it used to be, I avoided it like the plague before, but I want Recluse and maybe Mountaintop, and it seems doable for a solo sucky pvp player like me now.

I believe up to Fabled there is a floor now. You can drop back to bottom of Heroic but you can't drop past into Brave or whatever was before. You also will gain glory weekly for completing 3 matches up till Fabled every reset.

And regarding solo comp. It's an entirely different beast then when you play with a team. Solo comp mostly focuses on 1v1s and winning them. Your strategy of picking one blueberry to follow and team shot is really the way to go if you are not that confident in your 1v1. And yea some days you get games like that where it feels like the opposing team is all legend vs your team which is potatoes but that's just the nature of the game. If it makes you feel better, there's still shit like that in Legend solo comp but it's even worse because it's like your team all think they're MLG gods and challenge every 1v1 instead of being unknowledgeable or new.

Time for me to become a arc Titan scrub. Just got a god roll drop insurmountable skullfort personally my first drop with 65 stat points, so that’s nice.

Time to turn in those IB bounties!

This worked well for me. I first turned in from the class I play the least (titan) and got 1 weapon and a couple of armor pieces at 952. Then I did hunter and got the other 2 weapon slots at 952, then armor, and lastly my warlock (main with the 952 weapons from titan and hunter) and got two 953 weapons and a couple of armor pieces. Loving the new system.

finally got a chance to start on my IB bounties today, what made me happier was I actually pulled a + kd in a match lol. Starting to get the hang on PC gaming again which is a nice feeling, love my ps4 but having my gaming laptop beside my couch and destiny 2 on the nvme makes it sooo muhc easier to log in for a quick bounty grind when I have the time. In the time It takes to get into a match my ps4 would maybe at the char select screen lol.

I have now started in on Randy’s. Fuck. Well it’s not too bad yet. 25% on kills in about 2 hours. But I went to 4% on medals the first match and then two hours later I’m at 6% on the medals.

And I don’t even use Scouts! But I need something other than a middling auto and smg combo. Post forsaken horror story is solid low level PvE but it’s just nostalgia now to keep using it.

Honestly though without Momentum control I wouldn’t even bother thinking about getting Randy’s, Mountaintop or Revoker.

I'm done with the medals and half way on the Glory on Randy's. Getting the kills with a scout rifle is a slog for me. I ground out Revoker in no time flat. I had done about 160 kills or so to finish that in a couple of hours or so. I typically run Revoker and Recluse or Last Word and Claws of the Wolf. Running a scout is horrid for me.

Momentum Control? It still takes along time but Jade Rabbit and that game mode made it much, much faster.

Completely skipped grinding for the Blasphemer last night. Kinda decided I needed to pick it up as far as the season rank things go. I want those Plasticity (sp?) ornaments. Got the gloves last night. Fastest way I've found is doing those repeatable Moon bounties and running to the nearest lost sector. You can complete 5 bounties before you're even through the lost sector. Just do this over and over and over. Jumped up about 15 levels in about 2.5 hours, give or take, the past couple of days.

That's what I'm doing. At long range its fine, but at medium to close range engagements I have to switch to something else. So the map and circumstances sometimes make it to where my kills end up being from other weapons or from melee / super kills.

Annnnd got my Recluse. A couple weeks ago gaining glory was really disheartening I kept getting steam rolled like 5 times in a row. Matchmaking finally started making some decent matches, and I started using Graviton Lance which helped me out.
On to the next pinnacle.

Finally got to around 950 so I figured I was strong enough to try out some Iron Banner. I guess I'm never going to get any rewards from Saladin because you have to do some crazy quest first. I'm not sure how many steps there are too it but I'm stuck trying to get Fusion weapon kills. I hate fusion rifles and am terrible with them. Not sure I'll be able to manage to got 20 kills before reset.

Seriously whose idea was it so lock rewards behind a quest in one of the sweatiest parts of the game. Everyone else is running around with mountain top and recluse and I'm stuck using weapons I suck with just so I can unlock the ability to spend the tokens I earn. I just want to unlock some of that sweet Iron Banner gear but sadly I don't think I will be able to.

It was easier than I anticipated, they dont have to be solo kills (I dont think) plus by the time you can turn in the tokens you will have hundreds of them.

Well part of the problem is I dont really have any good fusion rifles. I never use them so I just shard them most of the time. Maybe I need to pull an exotic one from collections and give that a try.

Telesto and Merciless can work in a pinch. If you have a enough mats, you can sit at the gunsmith and hope to get an Erentil which is arguably one of if not the best PvP fusion with a good roll.

I got that bounty (scour something?) done on my three toons. I tend to be slowest on ability final blow kills. I'll end up not getting that one of the four regular bounties done, the other 3 were easy. I need to try to become more aggressive, and make a point to use my super more and get in closer for melee and grenade. Recommendations for a good Warlock pvp build so I'll be ready for next month? I play IB on my hunter and titan enough to get most of the bounties done for the pinnacle rewards, but mostly like to play warlock.

The TWAB talked about that bounty and that they're looking into retuning it.

The Chamber of Suffering in the Dungeon is living up to its name solo.

This is no longer fun.

May need to jump back into Menagerie and hope for a Hive Invigoration 2.0 mod.

I finally did it on my Warlock...way more work than it was worth. I just got another 953 heavy from completing it, and I already had 953 in my Kinetic and Heavy slots...any of the other 6 slots would have been worth the time.

Went after all those goodies from the season rankings this weekend. Went from ~48 to 100. Really like those ornaments.

Is Wednesday the next day to farm for blasphemer? Think I'll go after that next.

I got the Recluse, Mountain Top, Redrix Broadsword and Luna's Howl, but Not Forgotten has proven to be quite difficult...cant seem to make it past Mythic II glory rank. I'll probably take a break from that and rap up the Izanagi Burden quest line now that it's fixed.

Anyone part of a regular raiding group and needs another? I've gotten 5 GoS clears but I'm tired of rolling the dice on groups via LFG.

FFS that stupid Haunted Forest. Finally got a group that clicked enough to make it through nine rounds, and was only recently informed the 'increased heavy ammo drop' from the mask gets cancelled out if any other gear has 'increased heavy ammo drop'. Once that was ironed out it was all about setting Thunderlord to spam and cruising my way to coolsville.

The normal lit sections were a bit jarring. Still not sure what to do with my excess candy and coins. The grabbags are a joke.

One of mine sometimes does. We tend to need one every other week and the other one is new so I'm not sure if we have enough players for that one or not.

Does anyone know if Ryzen 3xxx performance has been fixed in Destiny yet? My machine didn't boot this morning and I'm thinking it may be time for an upgrade. Playing at 1440p with a 1080ti

Yes it was fixed a while back. You'll have to do some updates on your end, however.

I finally got to Heroic 3 this afternoon, I need another 400 points to Fabled 1. I can confirm that you can "ratchet" your way up by sub-levels or sub-tiers, not just main tiers. I was just a few points above Heroic 3 and should have dropped back to Heroic 2 when I lost the next match, but I stayed at the bottom of Heroic 3, 0/475 to Fabled 1 after the loss. Much easier than it used to be, but still a pita for someone who's not fond of pvp. Must get Recluse though so I'll stick with it!

Did 3 Menagerie runs on each character last night.

Shielding Hand, Striking Hand, Power Overwhelming and the one I wanted, Hive Invigoration! They reset today so more runs until I get Hive Barrier and Hive Armaments.

I believe they changed it to where you can’t fall back below a rank until after you hit Fabled.
