well i ordered it

there was a $5 shipping fee...ok sure. making it 69.94

immediately my phone buzzes with a fraud alert from chase for 85.29 i say no and block it since its a totally different company - global sky marketing sb

sooo....i now have a new card coming to me
 
there's a lot going on here.... suspiciously cheap electronics section hidden inside a shoe store that may or may not be real but is definitely a copy of a legitimate shoe store? huh.

I've seen fake online electronics stores before, but seeing obviously-fake electronics listings hidden within a fake-but-passingly-legitimate shoe store is novel to me. Koio = real brand. This site = not real Koio, but looks convincingly like the real site. The built-in search function cannot access the electronics listings, it's as if they aren't there unless indexed/linked from elsewhere. Just thought it was a weird and convoluted scam.
 
These scams might stop if idiots stopped falling for them. But hey there's a reason they run them everyday on ebay.
 
Well, if anything, SKU should have rang the bell. EVGA SKU for that card is 06G-P4-1267-KR ( https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=06G-P4-1267-KR ). And that SKU scheme is old as hell at EVGA, for example their old GTX260's had 896-P3-1270-AR - so as you can see, their SKU is always xxx-xx-xxxx-xx, where the last two characters show the warranty length, and in most cases it is KR these days ( https://www.evga.com/warranty/graphics-cards/ ).

And obviously, if the price is one third of a normal price, then it is probably a scam.
 
these prices may be right! everyone is forgetting the trade war tax.

The people who fall for them just increase the fees and costs for everyone else who uses their credit cards. Sure they are not out the money, but someone is left holding the bag...normally the credit card company who passes on the costs to the consumer.
