Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint

I think I might wait out until they add the Ai teammates I could co-op but everyone is overleveled. The encounter I had with the boat I failed it X4 times then I automatically completed it for some reason I must of got it on the last try or it was a bug.The game feels kinda overwhelming to the point where it feels empty but I guess that gives the die hards something to work on. Zooming on the map could use some work it zooms out and and zooms in close where Wildlands was seemless. Even though my character is just weaing a shirt looks like it was half ironed where the wrinkles don't contour the body.

It's still a good game

Already seen it discounted 42% on cdkeys. Guess those keys aren't selling very well.

I expect to play a game for a few month at tops with a few exceptions. After I finish the main game there is zero reason for me to stay around. And live service dripping content one mission every two months won't change that. In fact it only annoys me. I did none of the quests in AC:Odyssey that were added as a live service later. I also haven't done any of the live service missions in Wildlands. I can't be bothered to re-acquaint myself with a game and its quirks just to do one mission at a time.

Exactly. At least to me, it makes me less likely to purchase a game when new. It is yet another reason to just wait a year until a major price drop, so you can play all the content in one go. I can't remember the controls for a game I played 4-6 months ago. By the time I get the hang of it, I am already finished with the new content.

Few buddies heckled me into getting the game.

Honest opinion;
is it buggy? yes, but playable if your system is solid
is it fun/enjoyable? sure, if you don't take the game seiously
is the VA any good? not really, it feels super scripted like a '00s SyFy original
is it worth full price? I'd say hard no. I do enjoy it, but I'd say don't buy for more than $40

To me, the main time sink seems to be traveling and random encounters along the way. A lot of the content uses copy/paste structures, down to loot crate placement (just a nit-pick, but it was bothersome to me after the 4th time noticing it).
There are game breaking bugs you will experience if your system isn't solid; the worst I've gotten is occasional random freezes that last several seconds and several game crashes over ~40 hrs of play, but friends had experienced worse until I gave them some stable drivers to try out.
Most of the MTX doesn't bother me because it's earnable; I don't like MTX, but have come to accept pay-to-catch-up and (store exclusive) cosmetics that aren't superior to what you can earn.

Despite all the bad reviews I find myself wanting to pick this up. I’m a sucker for looter shooters, even if this game barely scratches the surface of that genre. I’ll probably get this at the first reasonable sale.

Just don't. Stop supporting these no effort, cash, grab MT filled copy and paste bull shit. Even buying this crap on sale is supporting it. They will keep selling this garbage if people keep buying it.

I haven't had enough time to play this game but took vacy in Nov after Halloween.

I don’t need someone to tell me how to spend my money. That’s my wife’s job.

I've had fun with the game. I don't have that many hours in it, but that's not because I don't want to play it, but rather due to having little time because of work.

Other than the random crashes to desktops which I still haven't resolved despite trying everything, I am liking the game and sure there's microtransactions, if you just play the game, you can get all the good gear in the open world anyways.

I just wish I could join up with StyderXx but these CTDs are killing me.

So, I finally beat the main game after many crashes to the desktop lol.

I have to say, that battle with the Behemoth drone sure was challenging, and fun.

Character movement is kinda clunky compared to the last game I don't know if your character gets more nimble with skill points so I did a skill point in agilty.
Even though they tried to make the game more realistic I really miss the AI companions healing with a drone is ok but it's just breaks immersion.
Maybe I just need to give the game more time doesn't feel nearly as slick as Wildlands but I suppose they wanted to goto a different route. Gear grind there is no grind really you always find new stuff and the shop has new guns all the time that are slightly above your gear level. The Menus could use some work though unless I'm just retarded and need to get used to them. They don't feel very responsive and are confusing at times compared to Wildlands.

Yeah the agility skill points seems to make my character move better this isn't a bad game I killed one of those big drones in a mission wasn't very hard just a few shots with a sniper rifle. With those God Rays would like to see a Predator just spawn fighting an Alien or something where you have to scare him back into his ship then you blow it up or something like that.

Damn, Ubisoft pushed back all big AAA releases originally scheduled for this fiscal year back to the 2020-2021 fiscal year due to the poor performance and reception of Breakpoint. Typical of corporate overlords, Yves Guillemot misses all the reasons people don't like Breakpoint and his solution is to simply "increase the time between multiplayer releases." They also touch on poor microtransaction sales for The Division 2 despite there being large sales of the game itself and a strong player base. This all brings a smile to my face.

It's pretty simple. Breakpoint is only so successful because Wildlands was. Unfortunately, the game is buggy as hell and unpolished. All the ground vehicles still sound the same at this point. That's something that should have been fixed in later beta builds. The predatory microtransactions are a turn off and frankly, going to a looter shooter mechanic like the Division 2, really didn't make sense here. I don't think the player bases were necessarily the same. Going to a live service model hurt Breakpoint. Things like the social hub break immersion and the camping system sucks. They should have taken the solid foundation of Wildlands and improved it. Sure, there are things that Breakpoint does improve upon, but it takes several steps backwards in other areas.

I have no problem with the game I like it better than the Divison 2 simply for the more Freedom. Wildlands was going to be a hard act to beat simply because everything looked good in Bolivia because the UBI team took vacation there.

It is okay, next year gamers will reward them as usual. See Assassin's Creed Unity. Buggy, so they take a year off after Syndicate. Return with a bloated, stupidly long, awkward level infused Origins. Double down on all that with Odyssey while adding dozens of mechanics designed around paid "time savers". Gets applause, sells outstandingly.

All Ubisoft has to do is make sure Ghost Recon: Time Saver 3 is more polished, throw in more microtransactions and next year gamers will lap it up and ask for more.

This guy breaks down all the problems that are not the microtransaction-related. It's nice to have a really good breakdown that avoids the common outrage.

that’s the first review that made me not want to buy the game. Thanks for the link.

I actually like the game and I've never seen a review that would have led me to buy it.
I played the beta, and I admit it's not totally bad I could get some enjoyment out of the game in its current state, but I refuse to encourage them by paying for it when it is worse in almost every aspect than Wildlands was.

I like moving with a mouse but the keyboard commands is like typing on a Alien keyboard so I stick with a controller even if it feels sluggish still.

I see why they didn't add Ai teamates the game wasn't set up for it really the missions are stealth based. There might be 30 guys protecting a base but a single player can take them out no problem. Like in the screenshot above I tried to sniper but the range was too far for my sniper rifle.

Anybody else trying the Raid tomorrow? Only requirements for Raid is 150 GS and a full squad of 4 operators. I am GS223

Game still freezes and CTD for me so not sure if I want to try it yet.

I verify files, runs fine, for about ~2 hours then it will CTD. TD2 and TD1 run fine. Light CPU OC @ 4.4ghz, GPU @ stock settings.

Apparently EA is giving me a free month of Basic Access for having 2FA. Kinda hoping this game is on there.

Anyone seen this?

Ubisoft did a survey among players

On how to "fix" the game. Apparently the most requested features were:
  • AI Team mates
  • remove tiered loot and gear score
  • better enemy AI
  • remove online requirement for solo play
  • fix vehicle handling
  • survivel elements that actually matter
They also polled what additional content players wanted, and more campaign content won by a landslide.

If they go trough with everything the game might actually be worth having, a year or so later. Since I liked Narco Road, I'd be fine without the ai team if they did the rest well.

I hadn't seen that. As far as I am concerned, the lack of AI team members is the least of this game's issues.

TLDR: The game sucks, scrap it and do it again. It should be like Wildlands, not the Division's illegitimate bastard child.

I'd pay good money for a straight up wildlands campaign DLC solo or team, doesn't matter.

It's not a bad game I'm 25% done with the story someone said it feels like a tech demo if you can get over that it's still a nice game was playing it yesterday. Ai is dumb as shit unless you get them awoken where then send in the cavalry. The thing Wildlands didn't have was a online hub where you can see other players but it's basically where people show off their characters and their tattoos. You can relax at the campfire and change you vechical you own do some stretching to get your stats up or eat some food not really impressive funny at best =)

First time I have played any of the Ghost Recon games. Late to the party I know. Heh Heh Anyway I picked up this game mid week last week and been playing it since. I do enjoy the game but it is buggy and not as polished as it should be. Somebody, whether developer or publisher, decided to push it out before it was done/ready. If they had done more Q/A testing and fixes it would be a really good game I think. A shame because it has a lot of potential I think.
