Diablo IV Official Thread

I'll buy it, mostly out of habit and because D series games are casual if you want them to be...easy to pick up, easy to put down.

I'm surprised that they showed what appears to be the Siegebreaker outright killing a Barbarian in the gameplay video...mainly because they showed that exact scenario in the D3 gameplay teaser and that video went on to represent about 0% of actual Diablo 3 gameplay.

The visuals really look like a modernized D2 though, so that's nice.

Trailer was epic. Though I hope its not basically Diablo 3.5. A little more like Diablo 2 would be fantastic.

Game looks fucking awesome! That's the way you do it!

You know, I replayed a full playthrough of Diablo 2 recently. I'll say it, the gameplay sucks. However, the story is excellent. Diablo 3, the gameplay is better, the story sucked. I hope Diablo 4 can finally right the ship, with the gameplay elements of Diablo 3 and the story elements & atmosphere of Diablo 2.

From the Diablo 4 gameplay trailer, it looks like they're heading in the right direction.

Starting it out right rather than links to rumors and a bunch of posts about competing games.

Really? We are going to start duping threads in this forum because you don't like that some are initially based on credible unofficial information? Don't think so.

Kripparian playing the demo:

Looks like the plan is six skills and a focus on cooldowns. Currently can level up the skills individually. As we saw with D3, nothing planned for these systems is set in stone until the game releases so it could be completely different next time the game is shown.

He and a dozen others fight some sort of timed world event raid boss while he's trying the Druid. Everyone basically wailed on the giant boss for 5 mins.
