The one and only single core 4.0ghz i7 with hyperthreading! Now available for a limited time! :D

I wonder how well this would compare to an i3 just as that 1 core? Would you mind letting me know the speed-battle.com result on firefox?

I don't know it's decently gimped but it does play 1080p youtube videos good and basic windows 10 use / browsing. Quake Champions played decent just need to tweak it a bit. That is with it clocked at 5 ghz plus.

You think a cpu-z would detect any issues with the cores or cache? I believe I have an old i3 of this gen that might be running slower so this would actually be an upgrade.

All caches seem the same under cpu z, the chip runs at the same voltages and everything, just 1 core 2 threads period. Same overclocking too it seems or very close at least.

This chip is like a wounded veteran who served his country proudly for years before returning home a triple amputee. But at least he made it home. Someone adopt this CPU and let it live the rest of its life in a caring environment where dodging enemy fire and running on all cores is no longer required. Support a veteran today!

Reach out to Intel, they may be interested in seeing the failure of the chip under its operating conditions!
