Any fan speed controllers with OFF option?

I'm looking for a fan speed controller that can actually turn fans off completely if the temp is bellow a certain threshold.

Are there any out there like that?

I use an NZXT Grid+ on my sig rig, it can do this, I use the feature often since my cooling is overkill as hell lol.

Aquaero fan controllers will shut off below selected temp. They are not cheap, but can be programed to do almost anything but was case windows.

you mention as a "reaching" term to say fan controller with an OFF option...

Sounds like you mean a physical controller of sorts (hardware)
not (software) such as Open Hardware Monitor (which has a fan speed controller built in for many program versions (I just checked mine..one right before became commercial only version(s)

I know of many in this regard, most modern GPU default (with varying levels of success) have zero rpm functionality (some require baseline driver(s) others this feature seems to be lowest hardware level.....

(depending on the goal required.(case fan wires are stupid easy to twine 2 or more off the same lead (preferably 4 pin molex powered)

link X of the fans to A control port header (3 or 4 pin connection on motherboard proper)
link other fans to another controller etc etc (watch you NOT go above proper "safe" numbers in terms of watt/volt or amp rating..unless want to cook system in question

once X link to the fan controller in question, use something like Speedfan or such things, turn down the % there multi-fans off one setting (with some "R neck" way of making it happen...

I've used aquaero 5 and aquaero 6 and really like them. Just goes to show how poorly I've been following computer evolution the last few years. ;(

From the photos Amazon has (they include some screenshots), it seems like it uses the same Aquasuite software as it's bigger brother. I'd assume you have the same amount of control.

Was just reading up on it and appear to work very much like big brothers. Can use motherboard sensors and/or 4x accessory temp sensors. Only complaint I have agains 5 and 6 is they have so much more potential than most any user will every use.

It can control based on component temp reported by the components if you have it plugged in by USB, but it's also capable of completely standalone operation if you don't want to run the software in the background. If you want to do standalone though you'll need to buy temp sensors. So they're not strictly necessary but you can use them if you want.

What VanGoghComplex said. Uses USB for sensing and for control software package, or you can add sensors for things not available from motherboard, like monitor room temp and a fan flowing air to you when room is hot.

OK, I ordered az NZXT Grid Plus V3, it supports 3 pin fans as well as pwm fans, it's cheaper and easier to get than the aquacomputer one.
