Glorious Model 0

I received my Model O- today. Looking at the dimensions prior to ordering, I really didn't expect the difference from the regular Model O to be that big...but somehow this does feel significantly smaller. I guess a few mm difference in any direction is very easily felt. Of course, I'm coming off of the G900 that I was using while I waited for this to arrive, so that could be playing with my senses but I still think this version feels a good bit smaller. Anyone still have their regular Model O with a Model O- on the way that can compare them back to back? I sold my Model O as soon as I ordered this one.
My O- shipped Monday. I'll post pics of it with my O as soon as the new one is delivered. (y)

Just got my O- today. I definitely prefer it to the O. It feels smaller in my hand than it looks next to the original.

My girlfriend literally received a Glorious Model 0 a few minutes ago. She ordered it a few days ago and just pulled it out of the box. She brought it to me and I liked the ergonomics. Its so light its hard to believe its a functional piece of hardware. It feels like a mouse's empty shell. If I couldn't see the guts through the shell, I wouldn't have believed it had anything inside it.

Mine is lost somewhere between the US and Canada. Tracking hasn't updated in a couple days. Hopefully it gets here soon.

Commander Shepard what mouse pad is that?

Exactly!

I too prefer the O-. The regular O was fine, but I've come to prefer smaller mice over the years. Not tiny travel mice mind you - for me, those are uncomfortable and can cause hand cramps with extended use.

Now that we have the O-, they should release a plus size model called the "Big O" that moans every time you click a mouse button. :D

It's the 17"x12" version of this desk mat - Monyes

Works very well. Smooth and easy to clean.

Evidently, my girlfriend ordered the smaller version. It's too small for me, but I'm starting to get interested in the full sized version.

I'll sell you my white O (pictured above) if you wanna get a lightly used one for $40 shipped. Think I paid $68 shipped for it.

One of the best aspects of this mouse, besides the light weight, is the awesome cable. Most of the time you can't even tell it's there. Cable drag sucks, and this mouse doesn't have it.

I have a model O, matte white. I've had it about 2 months and I've been very satisfied with it. The cable and lightweight aspects are easily the best part of this mouse. Sensor and buttons feel good, but I find the scroll wheel has a bit of a sloppy feeling to it. I wish it was more notchy.

My O- finally arrived. Haven't played any games with it yet, but the initial impression is that it feels much smaller than my G305 which is already a small mouse. The G305 it has enough of a hump that I kind of do a half-palm type grip, but with the O- it feels lower and thinner so I pretty much have to go fingertip grip. Hopefully I can adjust. Otherwise initial quality seems fine, sides seem sturdy which I know was an issue with the larger model.

looking into getting a lighter mouse. I feel the weight of my logitech G602 sometimes. I also get sweaty palms when playing shooters and constantly wiping my hand on my shirt. I wish the glorious o had 4 buttons on the side instead of two. what other mice perforated? I already know about the overpriced finalmouse.

why dont razer and logitech have mice with perforated covers?

You could try the Cooler Master MM710 -https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/peripheral/mice/mm710/

I probably would get that if I hadn't pre-ordered the Model O- already. Supposedly better build quality. My Model O- has somewhat loose left and right buttons but not worth returning over.

Edit: Actually after checking the Amazon reviews the MM710 might have wobbly buttons too. Still worth a look though.

Mostly, aside from slightly different shapes, the MM710 lacks RGB for the same price as the O-.

These mice are about as close as one can get without being the same 'thing'.

The hump on the MM710 will make the biggest difference in feel between itself and the Model O-, and will be a fully subjective preference based on how a person grips the mouse. The G305 will feel more similar to the MM710 in that regard.

Besides that, the MM710 has a far better cable, a better mousewheel (somewhat subjective), and a better sensor (marginal to the point of irrelevant difference, but still true). It's a few grams lighter but in this range again, irrelevant. They claim they've coated the internals to protect against dust but I don't consider this a valid reason to purchase it until we have better data over time in regards to failures due to these perforated style mice.

Glorious O has RGB, and a better feeling matte texture finish.

Both are prone to QC issues. Both have mediocre software, but you can set and forget.

The MM710 if you press on the housing hard can actually activate the middle mouse button. It won't activate the side buttons like the review samples did, that was fixed.

I miss the hump from the 305 so I might give the MM710 a try. The Model O- is still good but didn't feel like an instant fit the same way the 305 did for me. I'll give the Model O- a few more months of use before I swap it out though.

Just bought a Cooler Master MM710. The scroll wheel on my Final Mouse gave up the ghost this weekend.

I thought the MM710 is bigger for my big meathands. Maybe not?

I'd thought the MM710 was more in the Model O- class, with the Finalmouse being in the regular Model O class.

Also, somehow missed the whole Finalmouse bandwagon. Not sure I get the appeal even now; how do you get support for something that they only make a few of?

yes, but the MM710 has a hump so it fits larger hands better than the O-.

heres another competitor: https://xtrfy.com/mice/m4/

I see that -- I use a variety of mouse sizes, so that one might be interesting. Perhaps they'll get displays in at Best Buy since it's coming from a brand with an established retail presence?

I feel like everyone with a 3D printer is announcing mice these days. I'm pretty happy with Glorious as a newer company, my O and O- are great as are the mousepads I picked up.

But since I'm not much up on the mouse "scene", is xtrfy an 'established' brand here vs. say Glorious?

what size are your hands and which do you prefer, o or o- ?

does the size difference actually make an impact on your gaming?

Larger hands (no idea how to accurately measure), but I prefer smaller mice with a fingertip grip likely from using Dell- and HP-supplied office mice at work for far too long. The O fits my hand pretty well and the MX500 back in the day fit like a glove, yet I find the O- to perhaps be too wide for my grip style.

I will say that for the most part I adapt to whatever I'm using pretty well. The main thing I've found with the Model O- is when flying helicopters in BF4, where most of the mousepad can become necessary to pull the aircraft through emergency maneuvers. It's also the most comfortable mouse I've used, currently coming from a G203 Prodigy.

They're going to do Model O, Model D, Model I, and Model N probably -- so there will likely always be something around the corner. Glorious appears to be looking to satisfy a swath of niches with their mouse line.

And seeing that they're pretty cheap, if one of them works for you, no reason to skip.

I’ve been using a Model O for a few months now. I bought it on a whim since it was fairly cheap, and I had been hearing nothing but praise for it. After using it for a day, It immediately replaced my G903 and charging pad setup. It’s probably even surpassed the OG MX 518 as my favorite mouse ever. I don’t think I could go back to something heavier now.

If you’re on the fence, I’d say give it a go. Rumor is the model D is an ergo mouse, so unless you’re interested in that form factor, it’s probably not worth waiting.

I did order the model O, arrives tomorrow. and yeah the model D is ergo. they announced it a few days ago https://www.pcgamingrace.com/blogs/news/presenting-model-d

i should play some shooters tonight so I can compare the differences in my aim before the new mouse comes. all I've been playing is wow classic lately, which can be played with a trackpad lol

do you guys rest your whole hand on the mouse, so your not touching the mousepad? I got the model O today and immediately thinking I need the O- cause i have to reach for the far side button. sucks I have to send it back and order again. shipping is gonna cost me.

does anyone have both versions and can tell me how much closer the side buttons are to the back of the mouse?

I wear a sz large glove but the o- works best for me.

I had to watch YouTube videos to figure out I've been using claw for 20 years.

Side buttons are right there for me, but I'm coming off a Logitech G602 with 6 side buttons.

Glorious needs to add those and I'll buy whatever model that is.

I never liked mice that filled up my palm, I'd rather there be as little contact as possible.

had to send the model O back. Im also using a g602. I can reach the back 4 side buttons. I posted on reddit to find out if the O- has the side buttons further back. one person replied and said they have the same trouble reaching the far side button on both O and O-.

It's a perception issue.
My thumb lands right there.
I barely have the left heel of my palm on the shell.
Under my ring finger knuckle is my other contact point with the shell for reference that I'm square in my movements.

I played a lot of Blackout and bound my item, next item, heal, next heal, and armor repair to my side buttons.

There are Fortnite, Moba, Warcraft, StarCraft, etc players using mice with more side buttons flying thru their actions.

I don't want to shift my left fingers often or very far.

So I'll deal with it until glorious releases a mouse in the same form factor as the o- with even more thumb real estate.

I like the smaller lighter mouse, didn't think it'd matter. It absolutely helps flicks.

I don't lift my mouse off the pad doing full arm flings bc that's stupid.

I only used the model O for 10 minutes. but I totally get why a lightweight mouse is nice. when I went back to my g602 it was like a truck compared to a sports car. I'm waiting for the cooler master mm711. releases dec 7 on amazon. its suppose to be the same mouse as the 710 but with rgb

also, the mm710 is coming in 3 new versions. white/black and glossy/matte

So my first gaming session went badly with the o- bc I was flinging around so violently compared to my g602 I thought gsync was off.

Had to loosen up my right hand and crank down dpi to get used to it.

Placebo I found was my PC seems faster bc my mouse inputs are much faster.

Going back to a wired mouse can be annoying, going to have to fix a known length of wire.

Luckily I use a Razor cloth pad and not one of those giant large pizza a sized deals.

Best Buy is totally going to carry it. They have a big ol push to re-enter PC gaming.

...and when your PC isn't faster, you notice it more ;).

Playing through The Outer Worlds with my living room rig (8700K, GTX970, O- on cloth) even on its lowest settings at 1440p is pretty rough outdoors where you encounter most of the bad guys. I forgot how hard it is to aim scoped rifles with low framerates; even with G-Sync, it's a little too low for me!

I'm still 160-180fps at 1080p or 140ish 1440p.
It's kinda sad I have to change monitors depending on the game I'm playing.

Taking that much weight off a mouse feels like playing at 800dpi then cranking to 2100dpi.
