Like the title says I just picked up NMS today and I'm loving it. Anyone still playing this? Is there a 'hard' group?

I gave up on it awhile back, but they have admittedly put a lot of post-launch support into the game, so credit where it's due.

I might reinstall it to try VR, whenever that is released.

I think I may be one of the few who liked the game better before The Foundation update...

I've loved it since it was released, but then I play it in a very relaxed, exploratory sort of way. It always fit that style perfectly, though now it's a lot more fleshed out. It's been a couple of months since I've hopped in, but I generally play it in cycles. I'm sure I'll be at it again in a few months. I bought it for my daughters, so I imagine we'll do a bit of co-op next time I play. I haven't played it multiplayer before.

I am waiting for the Beyond update before I fire it up again. I remember them saying it was coming this summer but haven't heard any news in a while.

September 11, 2019 on Beyond with latest patch. Game is superb enjoyment. Am playing in Single mode and I don't have any interest to venture into multiplayer. Turned a friend of mine onto the game at the same time I started, and he too is crazy for the game. Started playing it two weeks ago which was after the Beyond update was released, so I was fortunate not to have experienced the massive bugs and game stopping performance problems that preceded Beyond.

I play this almost every night with a group of friends..

Really, really good stuff.

Chill game with an absurd amount of depth but still laid back enough to have a decent conversation while playing etc.

We may as well be brothers, I'm much the same. Didn't play too much of the last update but this update is phenomenal and I'd recommend that you don't jump in unless you are able to lose a lot of time... Chris Roberts might want to just reverse engineer the NMS source code at this point, they're getting that far ahead on base building and detail to the game that when they focus their attentions on fleshing out existing vehicle and craft platforms more, plus add more industrial craft, it will begin to eclipse even a rather complete SC...

What HG have done with my full launch price I paid is more than paid back. They have exceeded any expectations. The only thing is missing is sand worms which I have seen 'close to' photos of before but not the same as in the launch trailer.
In future even more extreme planet variation would be cool to see too.. that's such a buzz going on the exotic planets in dead systems.

edit: sorry I'll go to the other thread ;o

Are people playing on Normal or Creative?

Normal here.

Welcome to the game!
It's a time sink, so be prepared to play for HOURS. It's relaxing, fun, intense at times, and, at times, gorgeous.

I just bought it a few weeks ago as well and am loving it. I've only played a few hours and I feel like I haven't even scratched the surface of the actual game yet.
