Razer blade laptops up to $900 bucks off at microsoft store

just be sure to pony up for the microsoft store extended warranty. we deployed 4 of these as development workstations and two of them failed (one failed a day before the manufacturer warranty, the other 2 months after). they're precision engineered to only last one year.

the microsoft warranty was great because they just gave us a new machine (ended up swapping for a Dell because we were so sketched out with Razer by that point).

I don't know man. I've had a Blade 14 that lasted me over 2 years, bought used, and passed it on to a friend. Never heard a complaint from him.

I now use a Blade 15, early 2019 model and I love it. Never had a problem with either of my Blade devices.

I have heard that it is very hit or miss with their older devices but they supposedly upped their Customer Support & QC game and can hang with the bests these days...

Still way overpriced even with the discount.
I doubt you'll find something with both a 240 Hz display and a RTX 2080 Max-Q gpu southwards of $2099.

Razer's laptops are built pretty damn good. Gotta love that unibody aluminum design they "borrowed" from Apple. My only complaint with my still-working 2015 Blade is the battery life; however, it seems all laptop batteries eventually degrade to worthlessness.

A rather minor complaint with Razer today is they have too many SKUs for the Blade 15". You can buy a 15" Blade that comes with one of 4 different screen types: 60Hz FHD, 144 Hz FHD, 240 Hz FHD, OLED 4k Touchscreen. That's nuts. Nobody does that for a specific model. Add to the mix the various 1660Ti, 2060, 2070, 2080 gpu options that tend to box you in the cheaper you get. It's like they are urging you to avoid the low end configuration.

Also, the current Blade Stealth kind of sucks. They went backwards with it.

I also don't like the boxy direction they've gone with the Blade's body. I liked the rounded look better. But I do like that they ditched the LED logo and went black on black. I always thought that should have been something you could turn off on the older models.

They are competing directly with Alienware with the SKU front. You can find a lot of Alienwares with 60 Hz 4k, 120 Hz 1440p, 144 hz 1080 p, etc.

love my 1060 max-q 2018 model... it has been solid for a year and replaced my aging x79 sytem with faster render times and very similar gaming performance (290x GPU) with a whole lot less power and great portability.
