Any xbox game pass PC deals?

My kid wants to buy minecraft and Forza. (which means I have to buy minecraft and Forza) :D:D

I was thinking about getting xbox game pass instead. Any deals?
 
I'd find a year or more of xbox live, register that, and then subscribe to Game Pass Ultimate for 2 months for $2. This will gives you 14 months of Game Pass for PC and Xbox if you just buy one year of Xbox Live Gold. You're supposedly able to add more months by buying Xbox Live Gold after, but I haven't tried it yet.

I am confused. I think the deal is just for 2 months no? Does Xbox live gold include Xbox game pass?

Is that what you meant. 12 month gold = 12 month Xbox pass + 2 for 2 months.

I see it only as $2 for 2 months. Noth 14 months.

Do you have an amd Navi card or and ryzen cpu? I'll send you a three month pass for free to activate. Only as a gift for your kid not for you lol.

No I don't and I don't expect to upgrade anytime soon.

BTW it seems minecraft is not on game pass PC.

while that sounds pretty good, I don't have an Xbox One.

xbox live actually transfers over to xbox game pass now. All 24 or whatever months of live I had turned into Game pass.
 
So if you have xbox live gold before you upgrade to Xbox Gamepass Ultimate, it’ll convert your Xbox Live Gold months into Gamepass months. Right now the conversion is one for one. So 12 months of Xbox Live Gold changes to 12 months of Xbox Gamepass Ultimate then the two months of Xbox Gamepass Ultimate gets added on for a total of 14 months.

I know there is a PC only Gamepass, but right now it is hard to not just get Ultimate since it ends up being so cheap. Make sure you can download the Xbox (beta) from the Windows Store because it requires the latest Windows update that may not have installed on their own.

Only Forza is on gamepass and not Minecraft. They add new games every week though.

I have been using Bing search to collect points to trade in on Xbox gift cards to get discounted 12 month live gold subscriptions. I purchased up to 3 years of live Gold and then subscribed to Gamepass Ultimate for $2, so my Xbox live gold for 3 years got converted tao Gamepass ultimate for 3 years, so I basically only paid for live gold and got Gamepass for basically free, for 3 years.

Actually I was mistaken because I haven't followed up for a bit. Looks like they did that lol. I had almost 14 months left in xbox gold and I bought $2 ultimate pass and it automatically covenverted mine too. Not bad.

The conversion rate for xbl gold => ultimate is terrible. Best to max out the 3yrs of gold and THEN convert to ultimate.
 
What is the conversation rate after? When I first replied, it was still 1 for 1 even after you switched to Game Pass Ultimate.

Yup just did it 2 days ago. It’s 1 to 1 plus the two months you get for the $2 deal. I bought the Costco 2 year live and got the $2 deal and it gave me 26 months. Maximum of 36 month conversion, but if you get the full 36 it’s not going to give you the extra two months from the deal. I haven’t played my Xbox in 2 years but for $110 for 26 months it’s not bad since I was going to get gears 5 anyways. Hoping halo comes out before the 26 months is up. It’s worth it for me since I haven’t kept up with Xbox games in years so I have a large backlog to play.

I was reading on a way to share gold between (2)xboxes as well (I have 2)

Apparently an XBox (hardware marked as "home" by a user with Gold) can share gold with other logged in accounts. However if the account member logs into a different xbox they have gold on that while they are logged in. So in theory I can make my son's xbox my "home" so it shares gold whenever he logs in, and i can mark my xbox in the basement as his "home" and I'll just have gold only when I log in.

If I can combine this with 3 years of game pass conversion, I think I'm golden! <- pun most definitely intended.

I wonder how the sharing will work for PCs. Can you mark two PCs "home" PCs? I did this on my Xbox One X x 2 that I had at my house, it worked GREAT. Really like that MSFT does that.
 
If you buy a Gold subscription after you already have the Game Pass Ultimate, will it upgrade that new time as well?

Xbox Beta PC Pass is $5 a month. That’s reasonably cheap. gears of war 5 was included when it first dropped. So basically if you play it alone that covers your cost for a year since it’s a $60 game. I think almost 100 titles are included.
 
I recently purchased 2 12 month subscriptions @ $50 ea of GOLD and another 6 month at $30

This gave me 2.5 years
after reedeming each code, I got an extra month for turning on "autornew" so that put me at 33 months.

I then bought the 2 months of ultimate game pass for $2, and that put me at 35 months & turned all my gold service into UGP.

I then marked my son's xbox 1 x as "my home" one, so any user logged in user can have gold service, and my xbox 1 marked as "his home". Since I always login on "his home" it sees my username has Gold & allows me to use it.

A "Home XB" allows any user using it to use the "gold service".

For $132 I got 35 months of UGP for 2 XB1X or $3.77/month to have 2 Xboxes on UGP.

I missed out on the previous one by about 2000 points. Now I'm up to 23K points and waiting for the deal to happen again.
