Looking for a good deal on 8TB internal drives. need at least 2 right now to build a server with 4x8TB to begin (already got 2).
Thanks

I have two new Deskstar Nas 6tb drives for sale here
I could also have two more used ones in the near future if necessary.

Yes, that should work. Not all internal drives are the same, however. I'm sure a bit of googling will give you answers about which drive is in each enclosure. Some are 5400 and others 7200. Some are higher grades etc.
I read about some with whitelabels needing a 3.3v pin mod so I think I am good now to go.
Thanks

I've never pulled a white label from an external enclosure. Good luck!
last 3 I've pulled out recently were white labels, two 8's and a 10. my 8TB from 2+ years ago was a red label.

If you want a 7200rpm drive, you could get these and shuck them,

use the code in the image and it takes $40 off the price.

They also have a 12TB one and that is $239 with the code.

If one really needed to go to 12TB, I would just get 14TB open box enterprise drives in the CDW Outlet like I did recently for just a hair more at $300. Plus these have a solid 5yr warranty and mtbf.

still looking? I have 2 WD Element drives I just switched to 10tb. One was shucked one was used as a weekly backup of the shucked one.

Seagate Exos (7200rpm 2M mtbf 5yr warranty) 8TB for only $163+ship in the CDW Outlet:

edit: Holy cow, I stand corrected on these drives. :banghead: I always though exos was top-of-the-line, but now they've started fooling around with the name. These are basically crappy ironwolf 3yr warranty drives with the exos name and not worth this price. Of course they'll drop to under $100 at some point if no one buys them, and then they will be a good deal. :D
