Noticed a new Bios update for my ROG B450-I board. Dated 8/12 and here are the notes

Version 26022019/08/129.49 MBytes

ROG STRIX B450-I GAMING BIOS 2602
1.Update AM4 Combo PI 1.0.0.3 Patch AB.
2.Improve compatibility for Ryzen 3000 CPUs.

Gonna give it a shot. Looking for the following improvements

1)Cold boot Ram Bug using 1.2 voltage vs whats set in bios
2) better PBO and higher Max Core clocks for all core and single
3)performance or Stability improvements.

Report back my findings tomorrow.

I updated to that yesterday on my B450-f and have better all core boost clocks but no longer get anything higher than 4175 single core on my 3600. I can also now manually overclock to 4200 all core where before I barely could get 4100.

What are you seeing on the all boost core clocks? I can barely sustain 3900MHz but I have a feeling I am temp limitedatm.

Yeah, my max boost clocks still 100mhz too slow. Go back to original AGESA at launch, clocks are hitting at advertised boost. They set their bar too high I guess.

I've had this on my CH8 for 2 weeks. Actually 1003ABB. I think the AB was pulled.

Did you need to re-load bios settings afterwards?

Did any of you Asus owners have hitching every 10secs or so when booting into windows 1903?

Intermittent black screens?

Gpu drivers didn't help, on latest chipset drivers, bios update did the trick.

Had 0 issues before last Win10 update.

Just curious how responsive Asus is right now to updates and fixes.

Yes, every bios update I've ever done on this board forces me to reset everything in the bios.
And to add it will wipe your save profile settings! Warning to everyone. Tried the bios and zero change max all core boost and single core. Getting 3970 max for all core and 4100 for single core :/

This update made zero difference on my x570-e

Idle voltage still at nearly 1.45v and no improvement in boost, in fact might be a few MHz lower.

I will say it has helped if O/Cing is pushed to much on the memory side I can 90% get it to post at its safe settings of 2400MHZ

I had to adjust my minimum processor state to 75 in the power plan and use the latest AMD chipset drivers. Seem to fix my issue for idle voltage.
