I’m noticing what appears to be some thermal throttling with my XFX RX580 GTS XXX. Running Furmark or other synthetic benchmarks even in an open-air case setting is yielding temps higher than I’d like to see.
I’m seeing 80-85c under full load sometimes even just gaming. When this happens my core is maxing out around 1100-1150MHz, which is what leads me to believe it’s a thermal issue.
I’m happy with the card and don’t need anything higher-end that would justify me buying something new but I’ve seen AIO-type adapter options for cards, is there a decent solution for mine?
I just bought a 240 Corsair AIO for my CPU. I assume I couldn’t just loop a waterblock in to the system due to flow issues probably amongst other things. I’m new to water. Would it be silly to add a second rad/AIO to cool my GPU? I don’t mind spending the $60-$100 it might take to cool it as when I retire the card I could repurpose it to another build or something.
Also, lower temps would give me some overclocking headroom right?
