Not bad, but not quite as good as the Zotac Amp Extreme 2080 card I got for $650 a couple months ago. It has been super cool and quiet so far. Would have def preferred to go eVGA for their warranty, pretty sure if the card doesn't die within the first year, it will be good for as long as I need it still, just like most other PC components.

Edit: Somehow missed that this was for the Super cards and they their prices were still pretty high even for "super" variants.

So, let’s see if I understand what’s happening. NVidia couldn’t sell RTX cards in nearly the numbers they wanted, so instead of dropping price to increase volume, they release refreshed versions of these cards and charge more for them? Is my understanding correct?

I guess it’s a good thing I really don’t game much any more - my 1080 Ti will last me several more years at this rate.

This is a joke. Very decent mid range cards used to run between $200 - $300. I will not be participating. What exactly does this get you? Better be 9billion K on the cowboy dome trinitron. Just don't get it.

When the initial rumors of these cards being $100 cheaper were bouncing around, I was very skeptical but if it had been true, I would've bought a 2060 Super or even 2070 Super.

As it stands, there is no chance in hell I would pay $500 for a 2060 especially given the limited gaming I've done over the past month or two. It boggles my mind that Nvidia didn't learn their lessons on why the first round of RTX cards didn't sell.

To be fair, the "super" cards reportedly use the names of lower tiered cards with the underlying GPU's from higher tiered cards.

A 2060 super isn't just an OC version of the 2060. It has a larger GPU with more cores, and is reportedly faster than a 1080.

Same for the 2070 super, which reportedly should beat a 1080ti.

Still, I agree with previous posters. Time has passed since Pascal. Performance equivalent to even top level Pascal performance should be much cheaper at this point.

Personally I am interested in what they do at the very high end. Will there be a 2080ti super that beats an RTX Titan? If so, how much will it cost?

Wow, if this is true the 2060 Super costs as much as a 1070 at msrp. What the hell is going on here?

Edit: Well it looks like the 5700 XT @$449 will have about the same performance as a 2060 Super so this makes sense after all.

And you can bet your sweet behind that even the crappy blower reference 5700 XT will be going for more than the 449 MSRP. I bet most custom versions of the 5700 XT will be well over 500 bucks.

Well sure, fancy coolers, beefy PCB's and VRM's cost money. But most venders have at least one at MSRP. THese days those cards are still decent and often OC just as good.

I'm not getting sucked into the expensive cooler this time. As long as its quiet and does decent cooling I am just going to get a cheap card (as if I am actually going to buy one) maybe in the fall.

Yeah. EVGA's MSRP (sometimes) cards are the Black Edition. The 2060 Super XC Gaming Ultra (typing out video card names is going to get ridiculous with this Super nonsense) listed above is the top of the line stock PCB model. So it being more than the rumored starting price makes total sense.

To be very fair however... it used to always be the case that this years mid range $200-300 card would equal the top of the line if not from the previous generation at least the one prior to that.

Yes we used to be able to expect to spend $199 or $249 for a card that would be very close in performance to the top of the line from THREE years previous. I guess now $500 is the new $250.

I always used to tell friends... and I myself would skip the top of the line. With the thinking that. Hey I'll spend $250 today and play every game I have very well... and in a year and a half or so spend another $250 for the next mid range card that is very likely going to be faster then the $500 top of the line option today, sell the old one or hand it down to another machine... for the win win win scenario. (the buy mid range cards twice as often budget plan lol)

I guess that has been busted for a few years now... but ya it doesn't really lessen the sting of seeing the proper mid range now being $500+.
 
Glad I bought my Titan X Pascal on here a while back. Screw these prices for these upgrades right now...
Finally got a good job again but Im going to wait before buying any GPUs, all CPU and SSD upgrades for a minute for me.

My Pascal Titan X (bought at launch in August 2016 for $1200) is still serving me well in my system. Hefty pricetag, but considering I'll probably be using it through at least the end of the year I'm going to get 40 months out of it, so it's only $30 per month of use. Not terrible.

Lick the bucket???? :D LOL! I assume you meant kick the bucket but, sooner or later, 4k will be viable and now worse than today's prices. That said, getting a good HDR, Freesync 4k monitor is not going to be cheap.
 
I don't see this price on Amazon being the actual MSRP when they start shipping in volume. It's likely just a guesstimate placeholder from Amazon until they're released on July 9th. I can see these being like $20-30 more than the current 2060/2070 and the current ones dropping down by $50ish. I'll continue to wait on the 7nm refresh from NVIDIA. Like others have said, my Titan X (Pascal) from 2016 is still going strong and slaying everything at 1440p so I've got no need to upgrade yet--it was an expensive purchase initially but has paid off in spades since I've never held on to a graphics card as long as this.
