MSI 2080ti Liquid Hawk EK about $1200.

I was looking at these and the one or two other liquid 2080TI's out there and there's some very varied reviews out there regarding the QA on these. Just a heads up.

I saw that. Amazon had slightly better reviews.

I guess a bonus is you don’t need to switch the block back to an air cooler to RMA it. :)

Yeah, the general gist of what I read was that the paste was poorly done. Easy enough to fix but a bit annoying for the price. I haven't done liquid yet and was thinking of getting one of these and pairing to a 540mm. On air I'm able to OC my Strix to ~2040-2130mhz, 15008mhz for long gaming sessions holding 57c-64c. Problem is that I've got to max all my fans on the card and case to do it and it gets pretty loud so I'm looking at the silence of liquid.

I always like the 3 power adapter approach MSI went with since we're getting to the tipping point for power with these cards. Turns 2 will still do just fine but it's getting close. Kyle's review of the Trio showed that it did well but numerous users have indicated the card still barely uses that third adapter. I still think it's a good idea if going to OC to an extreme though.

I think these might be the only other two I found and I'm just unsure about them since neither of their non-liquid, air, counterparts were unable to truly match what the MSI Trio or Strix OG did on air, but they were relatively close and both similar with non-sale prices.

Kept hoping that Asus would do a Posideon version of the Strix but so far just some rumors.

2080 Ti should have been $700-800 since release. I'll never consider $1200 for a 2080Ti a good deal considering it's only 30% faster than a 1080Ti / 2080. Nvidia can shove it.

Limit 5 though, might want to update thread title.

:)

EDIT: I'm kidding, in case it wasn't obvious.

No one cares in here. It's a good deal, whine elsewhere.

If the card is massively overpriced in the first place, it doesn't matter what they throw in on top of the card for the same price as MSRP, you're going to get plenty of people still complaining about it in any deal thread for said card. Same for any "deal" threads where hardware is selling at MSRP just because it's available and demand far exceeds supply (like during the mining craze). I would just be hesitant to post any such threads because they're still not really deals IMO (and I understand that's entirely debatable and subjective) and will probably be more appreciated in the video cards forum more than the deals forum.

I actually have this card.

It's fast and obviously quiet, and overclocks at least as well as any other 2080 Ti that isn't a fancy extreme overclocking variant. The only real drawback to it that I've found is that it's frakkin' HUUUUUGE. Like, 50% larger in total card area than a normal graphics card. Well, I guess that, and it still cost $1200, which is obviously a lot.

I hadn't read about the thermal past - maybe I should pull the block off of mine and check.

No, it is objectively a good deal for the given product.

...it's a decent price for the product at this time, but it's only a good deal for someone who wants it and can afford it. For anyone else, it's a number on a board in a forum. I'd *love* to have one, but still, $1200 isn't nearly a good enough deal for me to purchase it. So, it's not a good deal for me.

The thing that you're insinuating is here is that it's not ok to complain about NVidias price gouging. You are (objectively) wrong about that, even you're a free market capitalist, it's completely reasonable to be mad about a price, think it's not a good deal, and not buy it until the prices make sense to you. Or do you go out and buy everything that's on sale because it's on sale? (In which case, I've got some sales for you...)

There are people that want it and can afford it, but refuse to buy it. I agree that some people do not like the price gouging and will be vocal on it.

2080ti's are still going for about $1k... even the EVGA Blacks. This is not a bad deal at $1200 with a preinstalled block. Just wondering why they decided to add so much plexy to the top of the water block... that card is tall as heck.

Yeah, that might not be good for smaller/thinner cases.

No I didn't. Nice trolling, but the price for this item is objectively the lowest this particular card has gone to.

This thread is not going as planned.
