Hmm, see a collectors for Xbox/PS4 but not for PC.....

Would love that statue but not buying a copy for a system I wont play it on.

Kind of odd.

figurines should eventually be in the gog merch store. gog version includes a discount but specifically excludes it from applying to figurines. they are not in there now but I suspect they will be added at some point.
many people already have the promotional figurines and they will probably be a hot item.

Cringe. Trying too hard.

Feel the same. I hate actors and the last thing I want is the game industry to turn into the movie industry - people worshiping these largely clueless morons instead of the quality of the movie. Last thing I want is for the industry to have to cater to these clowns and have good games get pushed to the way side because another studio could afford to have some idiot actor do a cameo.

Just look at this thread. Not a single comment on the setting, atmosphere or anything about the game but half a dozen comments on this actor. Disappointed that CDPR would go this route but I suppose they'll do what sells. And going forward that may be actors over gameplay / story.

Yes, I'm sure all FIFTEEN PAGES, including the dozen+ from before the announcement, are filled with people only talking about Keanu Reeves.

If it wasn't Keanu then people would find something else to bitch about. Can't please everyone all the time. For all we know, his NPC will have a single act side quest appearance that's completely avoidable if you so choose.
Have Geralt and the wyvern (I think?), would certainly not mind this one next to it...
I'm waiting for them to expend their market into US... I really want to snag one of these.

I see pcmasterrace getting their pitchforks out...Possibly no Collectors Edition on PC in the US:

Pity for the folks that want all the CE extras. Though, as someone else said, a lot of that stuff might be for sale later. At least I don't need to wonder if I really want the CE stuff.

I just want the game to be good. CE, actors? Don't care. My 'never preorder' stance is getting tested on this one..

MUST....RESIST....

Yea... I'm really looking at the preorder hard on this one. It's difficult.
But I want the one with all the schwag!

How does that even make sense? Did you read what you wrote before submitting? LOL.

There is reading, and then there is reading and comprehending. As you demonstrated, comprehending may not be as common as it should be.

You were saying no one was talking about anything but the actor. I was making a smart ass statement in reply to it.

Eh, its going to be a minimal part. probably his voice will direct you to different missions to accomplish some goal. then at 2/3 of the game you will find out that he is actually the puppet master and you are his pawn, then your goal will be to kill him. all fairly standard in the videogame world.

that box art sucks...very generic...what happened to that female character we saw in one of the early teasers...

It's a reversible cover. You might just get your wish and have a female character on the other side.

yeah, I was wondering about that myself. I would have expected them to show mixed covers but no, it was all the same guy. I mean that's fine. It may be interesting to see if the dialogue is different. because like in mass effect series I thought femshep did a better job

Maybe you can pick your gender?
Yes, they confirmed V can be male or female a long time ago. Full RPG level roll-your-own.

And that's why my first playthrough will be as Charlize Theron "Furiosa" hellion with an energy whip and a ten-speed. She slices, she dices. If she slapped you hard enough you'd cry.

I have a feeling there will be a heavy level of customization for character creation. But right now that's just guessing.
IIRC there was a character creation screen shown in a video in a past post. I'll definitely be preordering this before the end of the week. I like that CDPR doesn't have a deluxe edition with a season pass. I know they'll do an expansion pass like they did with Witcher3 sometime after the release of the game close to when they are about ready to release the first part. I think that's the right way to do it.

You can choose your sex and yes there was a character creator. The cinematic trailer does a nice job of showing the potential consequences of your decisions / poor planning. I did not see Keaneu coming though, that was an awesome surprise. I think the Internet is going to lose their minds, lol.

So this puts Borderlands 3 in September, Outter Words in October, Doom Eternal in November and CP2077 next April. I'm going to be busy.

Awesome. I'll gladly be pre-ordering this. Supposedly the PC CE will be available in europe.

There's no reason anyone should comment on setting/atmosphere/anything about the game because it's a goddamn CGI video. There's little to comment on aside from Reeves' involvement and release date and all of this stuff was more or less revealed in the 40 minute "gameplay" trailer last year.

Considering the game industry has featured dozens of games with movie actors I'm not sure how this is suddenly a bridge too far. Also, while I'm absolutely not a fan of star-struck idolization I highly recommend reading up on Keanu Reeves' personal life. That dude has been through one hell of a meat grinder and is as humble as it gets in Hollywood.

Official E3 2019 Cinematic Trailer

Amazing fidelity if that is actually rendered in-game, but given the bullshit that every publisher pulls with E3 trailers (even CDPR) I will believe it when I actually see it being reproduced by end-users.

I guess I'll make this minor talking point: Celebrities in games is cool and all but then we get to the "that money would have been better suited towards the fundamentals of the game instead" talking point. It will all be moot of course if we get past this absolutely impossible hype level and the end user product kicks ass across the boards, which I hope it does.

they already have a huge team of people working on the game. in the development process there are only so many people you can add, it is a problem of diminishing returns as it takes a ton of effort to get people up to speed

I LOL'd when I saw Keanu in the trailer, but in a good way. I suspect we'll see other celebrities in this game from what I've read.

I pre-ordered when I got the email from Gog saying preordering was up. Witcher 3 impressed me so much that I went back and played 1 and 2 and got the audio books for the source material. These CDPR guys are customer / gamer focused and I'm willing to give them my money for that (especially vs what EA has become now).

I see Epic has this game in their store as well why can't they place nice with Steam?
