Asus driver downloads always fun

I was bored and figured why not update your driver list from the support portal.

I find that "hey lookie there, theres an updated BT driver available then the one on your system."

Download the 200mb file for my OS, hit install, tells me I have the same version installed...

Turns out the Asus website had incorrectly listed an updated driver version, while still downloading the older version.

Back to being bored I guess and clicking update device driver in device manager lol
 
go to the oems of the parts to get the actual newest drivers.
not possible with some of the parts onboard. BT/wifi drivers being on of them. Big stuff of course get it off the mfg, like GPU drivers or intel stuff.

even the bt/wifi is not made by asus. its probably a Realtek chipset or something. post you board model.
 
You are correct, I went down the rabbit hole for those off branded items, and OH MY was that fun! Came up with exactly squat, minus some OEMs builders like Dell who spec a version that I`d rather not mess with on my current setup. Thanks for the help tho
