Amazon has the HyperX Cloud Flight - Wireless Gaming Headset for $115 if you're a Prime member. According to Reddit, use code 30SHROUD for an additional $30 off to lower the cost to $85.

I am in for a pair. I have liked the Cloud Alpha set we reviewed.

I'm probably going to bite too. I've been skeptical about them for a long time but the freedom of having a wireless headset would be awesome..

I'll be dreading the day the battery can't hold a charge anymore and I have to throw a perfectly good pair of headphones in the trash bin though :p

Thanks for the heads up OP!

edit: code worked, headset will be here monday!

Mine are supposed to be here today!

On the battery, what I have seen is that you can generally take these apart and replace those yourself if you can use a soldering iron.

Let us know what you think of them if you get a minute.

I wasn't able to find anything with google searches for buying a replacement battery. Do they use a generic battery I can order? I did read they will still work over USB in "analog mode" and have a much higher frequency response that way vs wireless mode, so worst case they become usb headphones.

Just checked tracking, will be here Sunday, and will give feedback.

I have taken apart a lot headphones over the last couple of years, and these generally use a flat LithION battery that you find in a lot of phones. So when/if the battery dies, take apart the headset to ID the battery, then find one that matches the specs on the battery, and replace.

They're a great set, I only didn't keep them because I wanted the Bluetooth capability on the cloud mix, which are also great.

Looks like there's also a mechanical keyboard that code is good for as well, but not one I'm interested in.

Word of advice for anybody trying to buy these if the code doesn't work, my friend was just having trouble ordering from his phone, it defaulted the headset to seller "hyperx", you have to change seller to amazon, you should then see them for $112.99 and the coupon code will work.

I got my flights. They are very good.

Anybody else who bought, so you can get the show on the road faster:

At first they sounded pretty bad, lacking bass and full volume sucked but chance had it there is a firmware update with the sole patch note of increasing overall volume:
https://www.hyperxgaming.com/us/sup...ame=HyperX_Firmware_Updater_Cloud_Flight_3115

Be aware that after updating the firmware you have to re-pair the headphone with the dongle, that involves a tiny sewing needle sized pinhole on the dongle (press and hold until it blinks) and then hold the power button on the headphones for 10 seconds until it blinks, then they'll pair.

Volume now goes loud enough for my tastes and the bass punches a bit more. They aren't audiophile level quality but for what they are, I'm happy. There is absolute zero white noise which I've read about, just a tad more distortion on the low end then I'm used to with sennheiser HD595s.. They're also very light and very comfortable. Will be selling my sennheiser game zero special editions now that I have these, as those were wired and had horrific bass. Though I have not tested the mic on the flights yet (nor 'analog' mode, which I'll probably never use)

Lastly: Make sure you plug the dongle into a motherboard USB port, at first I had it in the front panel and the range was maybe 15 feet. In the rear port I'm getting total coverage of my house (small ranch) and some of the yard.

Mine came with 3115 firmware installed no volume issues and dongle plugged into MM800 no software to install Win10 1903 recognized it immediately. The headphones are light weight, comfortable and sound quality is pleasing goes louder than I like personally. Not a fan of the lighting features, but they can be turned off easily. I also don't like the heavyweight software to check firmware and battery indicator. I like how versitile they are with included cables and Bluetooth. I have not gamed or used the mic yet but reviews suggest they are great for that and everything else they say is ture about them, so I have no reason to doubt their prowess. If there are issues I will report back here. Bottom line thanks again cageymaru for saving me some bucks oh and helping me make up my mind. I was on the fence trying to decide between these and the Steel Series Arctis 7 the savings sealed the deal.
