[DEAD] Costco Online - LG 32" 144Hz 2560x1440 FreeSync - $299

If it was G-Sync compatible I'd be all over it. Doesn't seem to be AFAIK, though.

I posted this in the Gsync thread and ordered one Tuesday. Plenty of vids on YT show this works great with the new nVidia driver's on 10 series and above. Mine arrives tomorrow

I'm glad someone else ordered one, I haven't been paying attention to monitor sales or prices (I dumped all my money into my new comp). I was sort of afraid to post here because I wasn't sure if it was a great deal or not. I can't afford a video card that can run 4k, so this monitor checks all my checkboxes.

Does anyone here have one that could offer any opinion?

Doesnt really matter anymore. I doubt you see the difference. Should work fine with freesync since Nvidia supports it now .

Man, I just dropped two fitty on a wheel...my wallet doesn't need this! Lol.

ROFL I almost did it. I bought a TCL 43" 4k tv as monitor works great and text is beautiful. I held off on this for now.

I think I will hold off as well. Not sure about going from 27 to 32 with the same res. I'm pretty happy with my current monitor.

I have been running various versions of the Samsung 40" 4K for a few years and finally tried a cheaper 27" 144Hz monitor and really like the fluidity. I will be demoting my current Samsung to a media display and use this LG as my main gaming screen.

I picked one of these up, pretty happy with it so far. Panel is responsive, input lag is low. "HDR" on it is pretty much useless but the panel looks fine in normal usage.

I also have a 34" Ultrawide and like the height of the 32" 16:9. I feel like it still fills up my horizontal field of view pretty well while also giving a bit more vertically.

Edit: I enabled G-Sync with it, no issues. Also Costco very fast with the shipping. Ordered on Tuesday, was at my house on Thursday.

Hmm, need a second monitor to go along with my 34" Alienware curved ultrawide. This might be too big to fit next to it though.

I was thinking about getting the MSI Mag321CQU. Do we have any resident monitor gurus that can comment on the differences between the two that would make the $150 price premium on the MSI monitor worth my time, besides it being curved?

I'm a tad reserved about how 31.5" 1440P will look, but 2 of my 3 monitors are 27" 1080P 144hz TN panels and I think they look ok, so how bad could it be..

Just set mine up and holy shit 100% brightness out of the box is blinding. So far so good, I am very happy with the purchase.

I ended up ordering one too. It was too good of a price fo the specs. You can't beat it for 299.

I bought one on impulse but I'm not sure if the VA smearing at high refresh rate will be an issue or not. I guess if I don't like it I can always drive to Costco and return it.

Never noticed anything like that on my Samsung that broke during the last move, that was indeed painful when I turned it on. Screen just shattered internally. This actually is very similar to the Samsung specs wise. But close to half the price on sale so was a no brainer.

That was one of the reasons why I felt confident buying it - I can always drive to a Costco. I usually buy from Amazon or NewEgg, but if I'm feeling cautious and if I can find what I want, I'll buy from Costco. Or even Walmart.

Nooooo you betrayed me! I thought we were in this together! :p

Hahaha. I tried but I don’t think I will ever find a similar replacement to my 600 dollar monitor Samsung chg70 I broke during my move for half the price.

I will just move the 4K TCL to my bedroom.

F it, bought one. I'm a bit worried about 1440p at 32", but I figure it will be super easy to return if I end up not liking it. Seems like too good of a deal to not at least give it a try.

Its not bad at all .had a Samsung 32 inch 1440p. Looked sharp and no issues with text .

I love this at $299. After I got the color dialed in and Gsync setup this is a steal.

Well, I bit. This was just too good of a deal for me not to see what FreeSync 2 and 144Hz are all about.

I had one of the early 120Hz Samsung monitors, but it was just a 27" and that was well before the introduction of FreeSync/G-Sync/VRR/etc. so this should be quite the upgrade from that. I'm a little worried that after using 40"+ displays since 2015 that it'll seem tiny, but this won't be my main monitor (still sticking with large 4K for that!) so hopefully it won't be that big of a deal and will be large enough to be engrossing for games. This is really just to play with until Asus and Acer finally release their 43" 4K 120Hz+ displays, which are much more ideal for me (albeit much much more expensive). I figure this is a cheap way to experience the tech and whet my appetite. :)

Chiming back in, if you are

I ordered one on Tuesday, got it on Friday. Demoted my 40" 4K Samsung to media. I had an MSI Optix to try out 144Hz, but this thing is honestly on another level.

Cool. We'll see. I expect the gaming experience to be fantastic, but I don't think I can give up 4K for desktop use. I work from home and being able to have many different windows open lets me be more productive. So when the Asus/Acer 43" 4K 120Hz come out (or LG's 4x" 120Hz OLED) that will likely be my new full-time display.

Will be using this with a 1080Ti. I saw you mentioned the 10 series above so I assume that's what you're using (or similar). What games are you playing and what are your sustained framerates like?

1080Ti as well. I have only had a chance to play Doom, Apex, and Quake Champions but all seem to run great between 115-144. Freesync is working great

Opposite experience for me. I got an email it was shipped on friday but now it says shipped on 5/12 online. Looks like they forgot to get it out on friday. I'll have it Thursday now.

Would never notice it myself if I am playing a fast shooter. Honestly, one can sit there and create a particular scenario but highly doubt the majority of the people notice. I don't think I will ever sit there and look for these things lol.
