That is what paypal buyer protection is for, right?Great deal if true, but that sure looks like a scam to me, haha
I hope for the best, it just seems like a crypto place would know what the cards were actually worth. That and having only 2 positive reviews, 1 of which translates to "Goods not delivered"
the russian feedback left is concerning lolAlso, I found a forum post about someone asking about them, someone went fairly in depth of finding out if it was a scam or not. They seemed to have come to the conclusion that they think it is legit. https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1061405-290-gtx-1080-ti-sale-legit/
Except it specifically says "Ti" in the listing.....so not-as-described should take care of that if it isn't a Ti.I bet they are actually 1080 non-Ti "Plus" where the box said 11Gbps GDDR5X which is different from 11GB GDDR5X

I mean the picture that the linustechtips forum user noted was unique to this listing does have 2x8pin power connections and the non-Ti has a 6-pin and an 8-pin. Just something about a 1080Ti at 1080 pricing seems suspicious. Sounds like they ship once a week and everything goes out on Saturday, so we won't know for sure what people are getting until next week.
Sounds like this guy needs a loan for $100,000 for 1 week so he is stalling the paypal claims for 1 week then refunding money
spent all money on cards, none left for camera. This doesn't work anymore. I started selling on ebay in 2017 and they held all transactions until delivery and some, it took weeks before any money was available for use in my paypal.
Also, if this is coming from a mining operation, why is the picture a single card and not a rack full of 10s of them? Why so low res?

I concur. Anyone selling 45 of something in 24 hours and not raising the price as well is a red flag. They want these SOLD and PAID before ebay takes the listing down.2 feedback, some crap about needing to delay shipping by a week, going with scam on this one. GL guys.
Ok.. looks like a total scam to me.
1. User info says they are based in Netherlands.
2. Item location says Brooklyn, New York
3. Language is definitely very broken English.. looks exactly like what I would expect from a Chinese person that doesn't know English very well at all.
4. Free worldwide shipping according to the listing.
5. Only item they have for sale.
6. Seller only has 2 feedback in the last 12 months.

then you have enough transactions or an old enough account they they trust you basically. When you start out, the only funds that are unfrozen until delivery are shipping costs (only available when paying postage through ebay site).dunno, I've done a few recent ebay transactions and the money was available before I even shipped...

Payments as a new seller are held for 21 days UNLESS when you send an item the buyer leaves feedback OR if you send the item trackable and that item shows as delivered + 3 days then email paypal and they will release the funds sooner.
Payment holds occur because:
Depending on the circumstances, paypal may set aside payments for a single transaction or for all payments to sellers who meet the criteria above.
- You have been selling on eBay for less than 90 days
- You have an eBay feedback score fewer than 100 and have not yet established a record of good performance
- You have received fewer than 20 Detatiled Seller Ratings on eBay in the last 12 months or your eBay seller performance is below standard
- You have a high rate of customer disputes or a low eBay feedback percentage
- You have been a PayPal member for less than 6 months and have limited selling activity
- You have a sudden change in selling activities (e.g. suddenly selling expensive items, selling large numbers of items, etc.)
- You happen to be selling in a high risk category such as tickets, travel, gift vouchers, computers, electronics, mobile phones, etc.
Guys biggest probem- this is one person who sold 100 cards per day for 2 days.
I hav e trouble boxing up 5 sales per day, If i make a big FS/T thread or soemthing. it takes all fucking day to track day the packing slips, weight it, do all the shit.
This guy says he goes to the facility 1 time a week and hes gonna box 700 cards in 1 day or whatever? Its just a total scam
There is so much work in boxing 10 GPU for idvidual shipment and mailing them per day nevermind 100
As someone who has never bid on potential eBay scams, I think this one might be legit for the following reason. IF they use a datacenter or rented space I know how timelines and lease contracts ending affect sales of gear. Having done of a few decomm's due to expiring leases I've let go of awesome gear for pretty cheap. $290 is a price where they can still recoup some of the cost without the risk of leftover gear. Something about being in the $200 range made all 100 today sell super quick. Magic number hits $300 then they don't fly off the shelf as quick I think. As several have stated PayPal will hold funds for non reputable sellers for whatever reason. Buyer's benefit. As far as shipping the items out, there is a solid chance many are already packed and ready to go. I dunno. I'm being optimistic because I bit but I don't think this deal is totally unrealistic. I hope I'm right.
