I have two questions I have a htc vive and am wondering if there is any good mount or stand for it eather 3d printed or one i buy and is there any good vive controller charging dock 3d printed or one i buy

And is there anyplace online I can still buy a Oculus Rift new because most are sold out

I'm pretty sure i've seen a stand for the Vive handy-twiddles on Amazon. As for the HMD, I store mine in a motorcycle helmet bag, but I've seen some folks use mannequin heads. You could conceivably also just use a hook mounted to something. I like to keep it in a bag so the lenses don't get dust and cat hair on them, though.

I don't think you can still get the OG Rift at this point unless you just happen to find somewhere that still has stock, but at this point, unless you're collecting these things for some reason, you're probably better off just waiting for the Rift S, which really is better, supposedly, despite what the whiners on this forum who were expecting 12K per eye and a built in testicle massager seemed to think.

Seriously though why are you interested in getting the original Rift?

There are plenty of stands on amazon, just look at those and read reviews?

One reason to get the OG Rift is that it's WAY easier to drive with a weak graphics card than the second generation HMDs are. It can also be had for like $200 used, as compared to $500 to $1000 for the second gen HMDs.

I can't imagine using my Vive Pro with anything less than a 1080 Ti, and even my 1080 Ti feels kind of weak in that context. There are even some games that are too much for the 1080 Ti on the OG Rift.

I'd suggest getting the best HMD you can reasonably afford or wait if we have a close launch date if something decent is coming out. And if the vid card can't keep up, then I think most people are just dropping the resolution to compensate.
