Apex Legends launching monday(titanfall BR)

Was inspired by Shroud playing the game plan on testing the game out on the vacay just had to download the game.

looks like the honeymoon period is over and the game is falling back down to Earth...Fortnite got a bit of a scare but it looks to be firmly back on top of the battle royale genre...I hear the Battle Pass was a major disappointment (Apex)

I still play a bit, still suck at it, but the 1 lootbox every 2 lvls after lvl 10 is a shitty mechanic, char skins seem to pop up very rarely.

Also a lot of people seem to only play to get as much kills as fast as possible and don't care about the actual point, ie be the last team standing. If I play 5 games 3 of them are over for my whole team in less then 30 sec after hitting the ground, the others may last a couple minutes and every so often we can last till top 3.

I can get further if my idiot teammates die fast and leave so I can play solo iso running into danger like a headless chicken. I do tend to try and hjelp my team as long as they are around which usually ends bad for me.

Had my best game last night with my brother and a random which this was his first win apparently.

Apex Legends had the smoothest and most successful launch of any battle royale game...while games like Fortnite took months to build up a player base and a Twitch presence, Apex shot to number one in its first day...but a lack of updates, a litany of bugs, and some fierce competition has destroyed Apex Legends’ launch momentum...

Recently I noticed an influx of new players in the game b4 a lot of people I got grouped with were at least lvl 30 or a lot more these days it's not uncommon for me to be in a group with 2 players below lvl 10.

I thought the game was dying.

I play this every day... I get the Apex Legends discord and go into one of the na-lfg voice chat channels that isn't being used then go on the na-lfg chat area and let people know the channel number and looking for a casual group to have fun with playing the game..within seconds people join my channel. I have met some very cool people doing that... The other night our group had like three wins in a row.. it was crazy fun. I know twitch viewership is down for this game but it still feels like the community of people who play this is alive and well.. The Apex Legends discord is busy pretty much always.

Twitch viewership is still pretty high. It's always in the top 10. It was just hyper inflated at launch because they were paying every big streamer to stream it.

They did a really good job marketing it and made it seem as popular as Fortnite. It was never actually even close to the same level of popularity as Fortnite but it's still a very popular game.

If they could get the cheaters under control I’d love that... so many... I’ve played with some.. they’re taking whole squads down solo and getting 20 kills a game.. I report them. A few of my regular apex buddies are freaking out about the cheaters.. they want to play the EU servers to avoid it.

I don't wanna incite anything, but from my experience it's the US servers that seem to attract the cheaters. EU servers generally much better.

I notice it if I play deep into the early hours and as the US wakes up, you notice you've got "FHGdsfdsfdsf1223324342" playing in your squad, who immediately abandons the gang at the start to go cheat in privacy.

Yeah ran into a bunch of cheaters on US servers after midnight last night...

Dev update on cheaters and spammers

Hey all, in the blog post last week, I mentioned we’d have an update on anti-cheat for Apex on PC. We’ve got some updated stats and some interesting tidbits on things we’re doing.

We’ve been working closely with key experts across EA including: EA Security and Fraud, the Origin teams, our fellow developers at DICE, FIFA, and Capital Games, in addition to Easy-Anti-Cheat. While we’ve already rolled out several updates (and will be continually doing so for the foreseeable future), others will take time to fully implement. While we can’t share details on what we’re doing so as to not give a head’s up to the cheat makers, what we can say is that we’re attacking this from every angle, from improvements to detecting cheaters, bolstering resources and tools, to improving processes and other sneaky things to combat sellers and cheaters. We can share some high level stats of progress that’s been made:

  • The recently added in-game reporting tool has had a big impact on discovering new cheats, including previously undetectable cheats that are now being found automatically via EAC

  • Total bans are now at 770K players

  • We have blocked over 300K account creations

  • We have banned over 4,000 cheat seller accounts (spammers) in the last 20 days

  • Total affected matches on PC impacted by cheaters or spammers has been reduced by over half in the last month due to recent efforts
We take cheating in Apex incredibly serious and have a large amount of resources tackling it from a variety of angles. It is a constant war with the cheat makers that we will continue to fight.

We’ll be back next week with an update on another one of the issues called out in last week’s post. In the meantime, there have been a number of reports of the missing close footsteps audio on Reddit. We have only seen a few videos of those situations, so if you could please include video with your post illustrating the issue that will be a big help for us in ensuring we can fix the problem.

Glad to see they are making headway on the cheater situation.

I am about to pop level 100 and get that havoc skin. Lately i'v been using the havoc and devotion fully kitted (with turbo) and they can really shred. Also used the longbow for the first time really, as in, through a few whole games. I was getting some good kills with it.,. You just gotta land those shots with that slow reload. R99 and Spitfire are my two favorites though.

Noticed yesterday that the game is still broken as hell. Emptied a full magazine on a downed player, guy dies, my char autresponds saying I killed an enemy, teammate autoreplies with a gz, and the end of the match I get credit for 0 kills and 10 damage.

I noticed on a lot of other occasions that it seems I do more damage then I get credit for but this was very blatant, I also got killed in another match while I was hiding behind a wall in a building, no way they could have hit me there, but alas.

Really still enjoying the shit out of this game too.

Self revive is only available if you find gold knockdown shield.
