Help finding new Hardware News Site

http://****************************/ is Steve's site. No forums, just links to news. That may work for you.

Really the only youtuber I feel is unbiased. Hes always willing to call people out, I hope his channel continues to grow.
The problem is that they don't provide news updates at the pace that [H] used too. You could go days without any sort of update to the site at all.

feels empty. but, isnt there anyone else that could run it instead? someone that kyle would aprove of. anyway things change, seems crazy cool to go @ intel.

Didn’t see this on the list, and if I missed it sorry-

Anandtech.com has some pretty good tech articles and reviews.

I was going to say the same, though I think they are mostly self generated articles. That said, a lot of H news was not necessarily tech (e.g. most articles referencing TV shows or Movies were not tech related).

I think it'd be useful if tech news posts ended up on the front, mostly because it's hard to tell which are new articles and which are ones I already saw, but have new comments.

fudzilla.com has some good news to fill the hardocp void, partially.. Can't find more sites to still fill the void tho..

Yea, I agree things are pretty slow sometimes, but I suppose I give him a break as he doesnt have a huge team of staff like Linus or something other larger operation.

They do have good tech articles, but the site and its community are overtly political—and worse still if you are a righty like I am, they are overtly leftist.

I liked how [H] was strict about keeping politics out of the community here. In fact, my only gripe with [H] is how they would sometimes post blatantly political articles then chastise members for making political comments in reply to those same articles. Be that as it may, it seems the no-politics stricture here is being relaxed, or at least not as strictly enforced, and I think this will be a huge detriment going forward. It will probably be the reason why I eventually abandon [H] completely. The internet is replete with communities filled with toxic political sniping, and [H] was a nice oasis from that.

Yeah, it is hard to escape the fascist left on the internet. I gave up on my Blues News for the same reason. Sean would accept every left wing conspiracy theory when it came to global warming as if that related to pc gaming, and when I submitted research debunking the manipulated science he used the "not official source" excuse.

I understand that Kyle's the boss, and whatever was behind the breakup with Steve Lynch and him is really none of our business...

But Steve did the Hardnews around here for a long time. Hypothermia_._us is the probably the closest thing to Hardnews that you're going to get as essentially it IS what you used to get.

Do you have a link?

overclock.net forum is really great, especially if you want detailed stuff about specific hardware/peripherals. I'd said they are [H]arder than here in that respect.

This was one of the few sites I visited where things felt balanced in the forums. Sure, they tried to keep politics out of the FPN but it was an uphill battle in many instances. Here, there certainly were leftists, some raging leftists even....but they rarely shouted down or otherwise silenced the right as is far too common elsewhere.
I'm not really interested in a dry tech site. Instead of looking for another forum, I'll go back to sharing my opinions with/screaming at my monitor. It's not any less productive, just less entertaining.

Well, it does look like a lot of folks have either left or at least come less often here. :( The FPN section is not as active as it was before and that is disappointing. Oh well, I will still go here and the other sites I have over the years.

The problem is your frame of reference.

People that believe in Anthropogenic Climate Change are not the "fascist left". They are simply people following established science.

It's unfortunate that in the USA, politics and corporate lobbying/marketing have twisted views so much, that many on the political right, view science as some kind of leftist conspiracy.

All that's needed is a way to toss user posts on the front of [H]. I'm here about as much as ever, but I don't follow the news as much, because it's a pain to see what's a new post and I have no desire to click through what could be a full page of articles (of which only a handful are new).

In fairness, this isn't a new thing. The right was against evolution (and Pence, as well as some of my conservative friends, still is). They fought getting rid of CFCs.

And the left has it's science issues too (see the irrational fear of GMOs and likely Roundup too).
