SL 8700K + Asus Maximus Hero overclock bsod on sleep wake but 24 hour p95 stable?

I have my overclock on the 8700k stable (latest bios etc), after a 27.9 prime95 (with fma/avx mod set to 0) stable on a 24 hour prime 95 blend test. I assumed this was good to go, but maybe not? Or maybe i need to do avx enabled or fma or both but that might cook the cpu (i wouldnt think avx would matter for a sleep mode issue).

*I also ran a memory check, setting the min/max custom blend options to test around 28GB of the 32gb and it ran for 7 hours no errors.

My voltage is already at 1.39 in the bios with avx at negative 1 and i think llc is now at 5, giving me more like 1.35ish under load but 1.392 max (i previously had it at llc6 which pushed the voltage to 1.392 under load and hotter temps).

Has anyone ran into windows 10 bsod's with waking from sleep on an overclocked system and found a solution?

The error was irq not less or equal.

Usually a bad driver causes that one, I had it on my X58 machine until I did a fresh widows install
Yep, although it can be (less often) a downstream effect of corruption as well.

OP- If you installed any of the Asus hw control software, I’d uninstall it and retest. Their software is... not great.

I havent installed the asus software. Unfortunately the last bluescreen i didnt let it complete the dumb to see which driver it might be, I'll wait for the next one and check it.

In the realm of not being a driver, i've seen it suggested to run LLC at auto to avoid bsods, though i've never tried that.

Yeah, and if you haven't already (sounds like you know about this stuff) - the "bluescreenview" tool can allow you to inspect the dumps a bit. You can look at the stack trace and possibly spot what drivers were involved.

It's just a little scary that steady-state stability tests all look good. If it was just stress, those really should show a problem. You're doing the right things.
Problems with sleep/hibernate/wake are usually poorly written drivers not realizing they need to reinitialize and not just charge off.

You could certainly give LLC a shot - it's not completely impossible resume has some transient effects which could possibly be compensated. If it is stable, then you'd be back to just optimizing for power over time.

Always was memory crashes for myself.....he's over clocking right lol....my x58 never really had driver isuesi
 
It could still be memory yeah, but p95 passes all tests left and right.

Every once in while too, if you wake it from sleep it comes on but the usb ports freeze/pc freezes (no connectivity to remote to it, so its a hard freeze). Not that often maybe 1 out of every 10 wakes.
