The new Samsung 32:9 5120x1440 monitor popped up on a Swedish site for about $1,700, and IT Show says that the 43" Asus FreeSync 4k/120hz monitor is going to be around $1,600.

It's getting pricey out there.

Yep, and the only BFGD for sale so far is selling for $5000.

As soon as NVIDIA starts supporting freesync over HDMI 2.1 with a new card I'm buying a 2019 LG OLED to use as my main display. I'm just undecided on the size.

55" sell for $1500 and 65" sell for $2700. Both will do 4k 120hz VRR.

I wonder how much the 8k models will cost and what the refresh rate and resolution combos they'll support.

Just imagine if they added 1080p 480hz support.

The 8k models being newer tech wont be cheap I have no doubt of that. I'm a little curious about it too.

Too much. The 88Z9? Possibly 10K.

The 65 from potentially next year? More affordable. Still probably ~3K.

55'' will be anywhere from ~1100€ to ~ 950€ by november. Last year, june, it was 1300€ for the B7 vs 1600€ for the B8.

B8 is currently 1050€.

Is this sans taxes? Link to site?

Does that thing seriously not have a VESA mount?

So I have a 27inch as my primary display with an X34 to my left, and I kind of hate how much I have to turn my head. I don't think something this wide is really going to take off. I wonder why they are sticking in the 400-600nit range on these sizes.

That's actually wider than this 49 incher though.

Isn't the BFGD display gsync through the DP only? Seems like they risk losing a ton of value when HDMI 2.1 TVs come out later this year with HDMI VRR. Also if Nvidia choses not to support Gsync through HDMI when 2.1 displays come out, AMD GPUs get another boost.

Yes. The only reason to get a BFGD would be money burning a hole in your pocket and you can't wait for HDMI 2.1 GPUs.

I would definitely be interested in the Asus, but if LG brings out their 48/49" 4k/120 OLED for less than that, the XG438Q would be a hard sell for me even with it having DP.

It would be neat to have both to play with. And for less than that silly BFGD. :)
