Gauging interest for motherboard trays for benchers

The design of ATX-size tech tray has been updated and now has an optional lower tier (for SSDs/HDs, radiators, etc.):

The height of the tech station lower tier has been raised to accommodate a CaseLabs S5 and S8 pedestal 120.3 radiator side mount.

The two issues, mentioned in the review, of inadequate support for the PSU and radiator have already been addressed (via the addition of a couple of pieces of extrusion):

Always enjoy seeing what's new with your "stations" Rich and seeing it on video view was a plus. I mean, what's not to like about extruded aluminum...just makes you [H]ard to look at it! :D

Yeah, the small nits that the reviewer mentioned are sooooo easy to solve with your system and I knew that you would quickly address that stuff. I had to grin at some of the things the reviewer was so worried about happening :p. As a person who has used this same kind of extruded aluminum in projects, the one thing that is certain is that is damn near indestructible (to brushing next to it or out-right trying to bend it). :cool:
 
Here's another station, but for 10x drives and 2x PSUs. The client intends to attach acrylic sheeting to the extrusions:

Have you tried with different size ITX motherboards? Like 2 ITX on 1 tray?
 
Just wanted to say that these extruded aluminum based cases are the strongest and most eternally configurable cases that you can get. Having owned one for several years (that also has slide-in clear Plexiglas panels), it is the best case that I own and the best looking too. There are also plenty of good reasons for just leaving these Spotswood Cases open-air and configurable on-the-fly as your needs dictate.

I consider Spotswood the "guru" of extruded aluminum cases and would highly recommend buying one of his solutions. The ability to reconfigure the extruded aluminum components of the case leaves as many possibilities as you can create. I can't think of any traditional cases that allow you to make as many customizations as one made from extruded aluminum. :cool:

The spacing of all of the anodized aluminum flat bars can be adjusted to accommodate the mounting holes of practically all watercooling pumps and reservoirs.

How high do you figure these things can be stacked when fully loaded with CPU only setup, say 2p Xeon or Opteron setup (I'm thinking about Rosetta@Home [CPU based boinc project] crunching cluster)? Any idea how stable these things would be if they were stacked say 6 to 8 units high?

Stack which product?

There's no issue wrt strength, only the area of the base to height. But then again, the bottom-most could be made a little wider.

EDIT: Hmmmm..please describe your "cluster."
 
80/20 can be extremely strong when built right. We use it for just about everything at work. Carts, workstations, mounting equipment, etc. It really is the industrial erector set

Hello i have a similar open case frame to yours and i need some extra corners that hold the metal bars together and some moutherboard mount pieces where the screws for the motherboard go.
Do you sell those seperately or can you tell me where i can buy some please?

I like also the gpu mounting bar you have, would love to replace the one i have with yours as mine is made for mining and cant add cards side by side.
Let me know if you can sell me one too thanks.

EDIT: Actually I like the last pictures with the SDD/HDD trays (if that's that), can we provide custom sizes and can you add plexis and such for protection ? Do you ship to Canada ? I really hate my Cooler Master cube like case because of the HDD location...

Yeah, I can probably supply you with everything you need. What size extrusion is your frame made out of? I don't understand what you mean by "moutherboard mount pieces".

I decided to send it back and ordered some 2020 t slot extrusions to build one my way, can you sell me some motherboard mounts for 2020 t slot, will need some hard drive, psu and fan mounts too and the one i need the most the bar in the back that holds the brackets of the pcie card. Would like two of those at 26 inch length.

I bought a few of your GPU 4U brackets for the Rosewill cases.

What would be very useful: an onda form factor case like one of these except that:

1) 8 cards
2) 2 slot spacing between slots
3) ability to use a regular ATX mobo (like an H110 Pro BTC+) OR even a server spec board
4) slightly taller, eg 5u to accommodate the board / risers
5) mounts for up to 2 420mm radiators
6) a better cutout/vent for the PSU

Edit: Do you have a Patreon or similar?
