Well.. I thought I would share the life of my PC.. (wow.. am I bored)
So this is my baby when it was born.. I was so proud.. 5820k, Gigabyte X99 board, Asus 970 Turbo..
And then, I got an itch for a custom loop and I scratched that itch. Oh yeah.. I scratched it..
Same motherboard and cpu, just added water and the a new Gigabyte 1080 WF WB.
So then, there was something missing. I had these plans when I first built the water loop and just did not follow through. So, the itch returned and you can bet your ass I scratched that mother again. Oh yes, yes I did. Started first with modifying the chassis. Cut out all the horizontal mounts for the graphics card and removed the lower hot swap trays. Its an Corsair Air 540 Case for those that dont know. Again, I didnt change any of the hardware. I did have to peal the metal cover off the graphics card. It had plugged up a while ago, I did use Mayhems cleaning system on it, ran it backwards for a while. It finally had enough and temps were getting upwards of 70c on water. After pealing the metal off, I had to get the glue off then clean and polish the acrylic.
After that, I ended up with this....So much for Electric Purple.. Looks more hot pink to me. When the black lights are on, its really really pink. I might change that. I have two other bottles of mix and two different colors of blue dye to choose from.
