Rotten Tomatoes Bans "Want to See" Score, User Comments before Films' Release

I don't know, Alita was kind of a box office disappointment. I'd be suspicious that this is just a sneaky way to try and get the numbers up. I'll probably see it anyway though.

Good.
Most sites have discontinued comments on articles because of trolls.
RT has gotten rid of comments before release because of trolls.

Maybe the trolls will go kill themselves now. I can hope at least.

That boy has really got his dander up..
Tim is unintentionally hilarious. He usually thrives on making mountains out of molehills. I think this is his 3rd or 4th video about this movie.

"Oh my stars! Rotten Tomatoes removed a bunch of dislikes and it's super important everybody! R u iz outraged yet?"
Hurfdurf

Okay.

Of what use is a review site that purges negative comments from people with honest problems regarding a film (including political foibles)?
That doesn't even allow you to communicate that you have no desire to see a film?

Essentially RT has made itself a useless cinematic cheerleading site.

Rotten Tomatoes is owned by Fandango which is in the business of selling movie tickets.

See the conflict of interest here?

You don't seem to grasp the concept of a vote on whether people want to see a movie or not. So I don't know if you're even capable of reasoned thought.
And you don't get the point that it's a meaningless metric that virtually nobody cares about. FFS, even bros review bombing this movie didn't keep it from being the 7th best opening for Marvel. But if you really REALLY are upset, create a website like http:/moviesIwanttoSee.com
Imagine the money you'll make.

Apparently you missed the part where the people hadn't seen the movie. The only cheerleading (or cheering against) was by people who hadn't see the movie.

Someone cared enough to have it removed :p

Again, the point of contention is not whether it is a meaningful metric. The issue is that first the media deliberately mislabeled it as reviews, then they censored it.
If you don't get that point, well then you're beyond hope of redemption.

BTW there are tons of fake 10 reviews up as well, nobody cares about that right, only the 0 reviews get deleted. Please don't tell me this movie is realistically a 10. So if they delete the reveiws that gave it a zero score (which is proven fact) then for the sake of fairness they should delete reviews giving it a perfect 10 score as well.

And apparently you missed the point where a feature for simply indicating interest in seeing a movie was removed.
And more than 50K user reviews were removed. OSTENSIBLY because the person hadn't seen the film.
Yet identically formatted positive reviews in the list abound...

As I've said more than once in this thread, I don't really care about user reviews. The only exception is if it's got an over all middling rating and I'm not sure if I want to go...only then do I look at the user score. For this movie I'd always ignore the score, because its a political clusterfuck. Although I didn't go to Ghost in the shell, because of bad reviews from critics, I'd never have looked at user reviews, for the same reason (only in this case it was mostly from the left complaining that Scarlett wasn't Japanese...er asian).

Again. Meaningless fucking metric. And I have no idea what's in RTs user reviews. IT's marginally negative and I don't care what it says. User scores are only meaningful if you're fairly certain nobody has a political axe to grind and the real critics are divided. And if I really want to know what users think, I'll goo to cinemascore. I'm not sure how scientific that survey is, but at least I know the respondents actually saw the movie.
