Figured I'd make a thread for us console players - anyone have this? It's been getting all sorts of positive and negative feedback, but I enjoyed the few missions I played yesterday, plus the combat is pretty fantastic, lots of explosions and the gun combat feels very punchy and tight. The game revolves around 4 players, but it's totally playable solo (you can pick difficulties). Anyway, I'd be down to play with a few people if anyone has it or is planning to pick it up.

First time ever owning any console, I've been thinking about getting it for console,

I have free copy with my Radeon VII, I have played much PC, gaming more on xbox1x then PC.

In trailers, I could get see tearing and frames drop, big problem, I've been wondering, Is lag and server lag that horrible?

You got a free copy of Anthem with your Radeon VII? How? The only game bundle I saw was DMC5, RE2, and Division 2. I only saw game bundles with Anthem for Nvidia cards.

I almost pulled the trigger on anthem. Got the demo on PS4

It played ok. Slowdowns existed but weren’t glaring. Didn’t notice any issues with lag.

The load times though - horrible. Way worse than PC

Between that at the less than stellar reviews, and the way EA handled Andromeda (promise content then cut and run) I decided to pick up KH3 instead and wait for the price drop on Anthem.

On the PS4 Pro, you're able to set the output to 1080P and it'll run between 35-50 framerates, versus the 30 lock with 4K output. No such option on Xbox from what I understand. I'm running 1080P on my 4K tv for some reason, can't really remember why I initially swapped from 4K (I think I was troubleshooting some issue at one point), but Anthem plays fantastic and looks great to boot (I sit pretty far from my tv). There are some periods where you'll have to sit through a few load screens, but it never really affected my enjoyment of the game the last few play sessions.

I have it on Xbox. Network seems more stable on console versus PC. The game is almost perfectly smooth on the Xbox One X with no noticeable framerate droops.

I bought it for Xbox One X and using my nu8000 75" with freesync, it shows on t.v 59hz 4k, its butter smooth.

I might just game on xbox one x, PC been off for week? I think lol.

I'm really enjoying game and there dont seem be lag at least for me

Yeah I was wrong, I have origin on PC and it was free there, I paid monthly.

Ended up buying Anthem edition, with armor and some other features.

I have no regrets buying it on xbox one x

Quote from the article:

"I’ve also experienced the shutdown issue. but only when I fall asleep playing."
I've experienced two crashes on my Pro after about 6 hours, but both were with blue screen errors. I haven't had any issues of a power loss-like shutdown where the console checks storage integrity afterward. I have read about potential bricking issues on the PS4 version that have me nervous, though, so I have not played the PS4 version in a while. I did notice that the game makes the console run extremely hot, and performance degrades over time. No such issues noticed on the Xbox One version so far.
