Dell S2719DGF 27" 2560x1440 Gaming Monitor ($280)

Bought this monitor for my wife on Valentines day. This absolutely is a great monitor. I also got it for $299! Works perfectly with Nvidia's gsync enabled.

Can't express how much of a deal this monitor is for gaming.

So my 1070 could use the adaptive sync on this?

I’m new to the adaptive sync thing since nVidia began supporting it after Jan 15th.

O wow, mistakenly thought this was the similarly named, and super popular S2716DGR w/ GSync. I guess this explains the price a little better.

Nope, now I do have the G-sync version of this (got it on sale for $349). And I can tell you that i can see no difference in her gaming compared to mine. Only difference is she has lower frame rates since she has a 1080 GTX.

Don't sleep on this monitor, its great for gaming. Just remember you get no display port cord, and its TN. But so is the G-Sync version.

Yes it could! but only over display port.

This monitor did not ship with a display port cord. So you would need to buy one. Can get a good one on amazon for like 10.99

I currently have a 1440p 27" ultrasharp. So yea a DP connection is fine.

I did have the gsync version of this last year, and I hated it. The colors were so washed out but I guess I had the bad panel since there were 3 you could get. My revision was the worst.

Dang yea must of been a bad monitor. I got a really good panel I guess, great colors etc...

The reason I mention Display Port to use adaptive sync with Nvidia is because Nvidia does not support it over HDMI 2.0. Only Display Port....

Pulled the trigger. Worst case scenario I return it like I did the other monitor. But the other had such a terrible panel.

Yea I have DP cables so I should be good. I appreciate the help

Great fucking monitor at an amazing price. Already have one of these. Love it.

Best 27” TN 144hz gaming panel, especially at this price.

And the results?

So far so good! It was much heavier than I expected it to be.

Looks good. Even next to a nice Ultrasharp IPS, it holds it own.

Time for some more games

Everyone hates on these because its TN.

This is a great monitor. Color can be calibrated to look OK, sitting next to an IPS monitor that I calibrated I could only notice a difference when I was looking for it. It's a gaming monitor first, so don't buy this expecting to edit your photos or video with totally accurate colors out of the box.

I regret selling mine. Back when I paid $400 for it, it still seemed like a good deal.

Great price and monitor for gaming. I wish there were more options for 1440p at 24”.
I game on a 1080p 24” and feel it is the perfect size.

You want bigger at 1440p from 1080p. Remember if you maintain the same size monitor with the higher pixel density your cost shoots up as well as the amount of screen real estate isn't very beneficial. Things are just too small.

True of what you say but I have a dual monitor setup. I wish there was one monitor that can do it all but for now, I have a 4K IPS 27" and a 24" gaming monitor (and two 27" screens just take too much space).
1080p didn't seem pixelated before I got this 4k screen but now even on a 24", 1080p seems pixelated.

Just for some added clarification

The DG and DGR are the same monitors. Both are GSync. The DGR is the retail SKU while the DG is the OEM SKU. The DGF is the Freesync version of this monitor. I've got a pair of DG's and they are great, especially for the price. I actually just got my 2nd one a couple days ago.
