4A Games has released a new Metro Exodus trailer that is set in Artyom's nightmare. I personally found the voice work in the Russian version to be superior to the English version found here. The release date for Metro Exodus on PC and consoles is February 15, 2019.

A quarter century after nuclear war devastated the Earth, a few thousand survivors took refuge in the Moscow Metro. They believed they were the last remnants of humanity - but they were wrong. Only Artyom dared to dream of a life on the surface. But dreams can quickly turn to nightmares... It's time to leave the ruins of Moscow, and journey beyond.

By the looks of it it hits the right formula.

I can't wait to play it in 2020 when it is back on Steam :p

(funny side note: The end of the trailer shows that it is available on "PC DVD-ROM" :p )

Didnt this game lose its newswortyness when they told us to buy it in a sub standard store, or else face conseqences.

Having played the first games, Metro is one of those odd FPS franchises where you just go in expecting another FPS game. And it IS... except that by the time you are an hour in you realize just how much the dev team cared about every second of the experience. The past Metro games have been some of the very best in classic single player FPS. You play it through once. You may not play it again, but you'll be really satisfied with the playthrough. Which is kind of rare these days. Hopefully, this one will have at least a good 10 hours on the harder difficulties.

As an 2080 TI owner who rave for an eye watering game with DXR for a while I think I would just pass this idiocy. If they care enough about gamers like CDPR I would gladly buy the same game from 2 stores which I did for Witcher 3 (Steam and GOG).

Am blown away with enthusiasm for this game.

Yeah, they really sure smeared shit on their reputation. Though personally being a huge fan of previous installments, I've been really waiting for this game. However I think it isn't anything like the old Metro games. I have it on Steam but now that it is pulled, I am indeed really curious to see how it will play out as it's generated a lot of hate, including myself.

The comments of one hot headed developer shouldn't influence your decision about whether or not to buy the game. These guys literally went through hell to make this game (such as leaving their home country and moving the studio to Malta after Russia invaded Ukraine, their publisher going bankrupt and auctioning off all their IP and now their new publisher making exclusive deals with Epic that caused people to down vote their past titles in protest). From the perspective of the developer at 4A, he just made the best game he could and some PC guys are shitting all over his products because of factors he has no control over. People should shit all over Deep Silver or Koch Media for walking down the path of exclusive distribution release, but they need to understand there is a difference between what a game studio has control over and the actions of it publisher.

If SP sound interesting i might pick it up, over the past 10 years i have gotten 2 games, so picking up a game for 2019 will be okay.
I would prefer a MP game, but the MP games made now i cant even contemplate going near.

Nice other side perspective that you dont see much about... I have already pre-bought it just to show them "da love"

I wait for single player games to go sub $10. You get the same gaming experience regardless of when you play it but you save some cash. Plus it might be back on steam in those couple of years.
