Second Drive disappears

TL DR Recently bought new SSD intended to host Steam Games, disappears when launching said games.

Specs:
Laptop: Lenovo Y910-17ISK
OS Drive: Samsung 960 Evo 256GB (M.2)
Secondary Drive: Samsung 860 Evo 1TB
OS: Windows 10
Games: Nier Automata, Dark Souls 3, Dragons Dogma, Final Fantasy XIV

Hi everyone, if I may, I request your assistance.

I bought this laptop 18 months ago, it came with a preinstalled 1TB HDD, and the next day, I bought the 960 Evo which I planned to have solely for Windows 10, keeping my Steam games apart. The plan was not successful, due to a weird error, when launching a game from the secondary drive, after a while (10 - 30 minutes), the secondary drive would disappear, and a restart was needed to bring it back. At the time, I thought the reason was a faulty HDD.

Mostly due to work, I had no time to throw at the issue, so I just used a part of my main drive to play games. Fast Forward, I have a bit more time, so I say "Hey, lets get a new and better drive. Samsung has been working nicely, lets see what they have." Last week, I bought the 860 Evo, installed it, downloaded some games, launched them, and to my surprise, the same behaviour continued. When a game was launched from the second drive, after a while, the second drive would just disappear. Worth noting is that, while downloading the games, no issue presented itself, not once.

Next, I tried an assortment of "fixes".
-Downloaded Samsung Magician, said everything was fine.
-Downloaded update for Bios
-Checked Bios, had the SATA mode set to RAID, changed it to AHCI
-Reinstalled Windows 10, let it format the drives
-Downloaded utilities from Lenovo, updates
-Update Windows 10
-Tried updating every driver from Windows, also, those in this site: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/produc...ideapad-y-series-laptops/y910-17isk/downloads

The problem keeps presenting, if anything, quicker now. About 5 minutes in, the drive disappears.
As a side note, the benchmarks that Samsung Magician performs do not cause this issue.

I am considering just returning the 860 Evo and getting another M.2 drive. Any suggestions are appreciated.

sounds like a motherboard issue the sata controller crashing. i would try the drive in another computer if it doesn't crash outside the laptop then i would say the laptop. i had a lenovo the usb stack would crash under heavy use less than a year on the craptop could not use usb 3.0 speed for anything. i was lucky to be able to move things on and off the damn thing.

About as well as it can be, the laptop does not use screws to hold the HDD, this initially seemed to support my theory of a faulty HDD.

The laptop has like a black thin plastic cover over the 2.5" bay, with a small portion being sticky... and thats that.

Try it in a another pc transfer files off it
 
Anything in Windows Event Log pertaining to the drive going away?
