A friend of mine, whom I can vouch for, was banned for spamming. His account was a few years old with around 30 posts, and he made a few posts in rapid succession because he was in hurry to buy something from the Trading forum. He's not a bot and would like his case reviewed.

Thanks!

remind him of the rules.

likely a temp ban verse perm ban. unlikely to be "fixed" until time passes.

Why he didnt just pm the seller.....no reason to spam lol..I dont believe any rules forbid anyone from making purchases via pm's

Translation: I was going to spam 70 messages to get into FSFT. As per the FSFT rules pinned in the forum.

Welcome to the For Sale/For Trade Forum.

The FSFT forum has its own set of specific rules and has a required 100 post minimum to participate. FSFT is for contributing members of HardForum.

PMs have also been TURNED OFF for new members to prevent scamming of our community members.

WARNING: Do not spam the forums to reach the required minimum, your posts will be deleted or your account banned outright.

If after several years he only had 30 posts, and if that account was indeed perma-banned, and if he did intend to be a productive contributing member… wouldn't it make sense for him to create a new account, and make his productive contributions using that new account, vs asking you to intercede on his behalf to get that old account restored? Just saying…

Yeah, he probably was. However, he regrets doing it now, and promises to be a more productive member of the community going forward. Please let me know if his case can be offered a one-time reprieve or not. If he does it again, permanent ban hammer for sure.
Nope, he just wants to use our community for FSFT. The rules CLEARLY STATE the penalty for doing what he did. He will not even read the FSFT rules.
