Using data from Google Trends, HighspeedInternet.com was able to create a list of the most popular Netflix shows in each state during 2018. California and Texas love "Jane the Virgin" while six states were enamored with "The End of the F***ing World." 7 states were impressed with "13 Reasons Why", but Washington, D.C. had 16 shows tied for the number one show on Netflix. What's your favorite Netflix show?

There are 47 states with a new favorite Netflix show. Comparing 2017's Most Popular Netflix Show in Each State to the 2018 results, we see that most states have changed allegiance. Only four states have the same favorite show as they did in 2017.

Probably one of the only things Texas has in common with California.

I find it odd that a lot of the Marvel shows that were cancelled were quite popular in some states. I was hoping for some more seasons of Daredevil. :(

I wonder if I am in the minority regarding the Marvell shows - I liked all of them, even Iron First (although it was the worst of them).

Wife and I enjoyed Ironfist even with all it's flaws. Really liked the twist ending for S2. Odd thing was seeing it #1 in Hawaii and Alaska. Not surprising for NM's choice since both shows are filmed here. It only got added a few weeks ago but I'd love to see how Kim's Convenience Store is faring in Canada and the U.S. We really love that one too. That chunk of Sci-Fi in the Mtn/Central states is interesting.

I don't understand why 13 reasons why is so popular. It is awful and depressing.

I like how both New Mexico and Missouri offer good home-state support for their respective shows. I live in WA state, but couldn't watch Altered Carbon. Thought it was pretty bad. It would be Ozark for me. Though, I feel like the TV shows on Amazon Prime are starting to outpace Netflix.

They we're not cancelled due to lack of popularity, but because Disney jacked up the licensing rates for the characters because they are launching a competing streaming service. Disney Plus.

Stranger Things for me.
Hell yeah cant wait for July 4th to get here.

Fucking seriously, Delaware? Iron Fist?

No wonder shitty shows keep getting greenlit.

Iron Fist is best described as someone trying to write a plot for one of those physics-model web pages where they showed a rag doll falling endlessly while colliding with spherical objects.

I gain a deeper insight into Alaska.

same movie for CA and TX ... fascinating

Both of those states have a crapload of latino viewers. Latinos LOVE watching shows with a latino in them. They also love latino comedians even when they are just loud, fat and annoying.

Yeah. Ok. No.
Latinos don't hive mind to Single TV show....
No debate on population.

Altered Carbon is an amazing show. Why don't more people like it?
It's pretty impenetrable at first. I was a huge fan of the source novels and (probably due to some of the adaptation changes) at times I found it hard to follow.

Other than Daredevil, I haven't watched any of these shows. I figured Ozark would be tops in Missouri - I have a passing interest in the show just because of the setting in my home state.

I haven't even heard of some of these shows and I was a fair bit of Netflix. I might need to add a few to my watch list and see what the fuss is about.

And we have identified the house mouse.
Had to look that up ROFL. I had no idea what unit I was getting sent to (Army) when I got my orders for Ft. Leavenworth. All I ever knew was there was the military prison (US Disciplinary Barrracks is actually what it's called). When I was told by my sponsor I was going to be writing battle simulations for the military, I was greatly relieved. :p I did not know such a small organization was even there. Seems like a odd place to put our organization.

Never heard of this end of the world show that is so popular, even in my own state 0.o

Stranger Things seems to be the one Netflix show I hear everyone of my customers and friends talk about.

Most of these shows are mediocre at best and winning a state must not be very many views. There are so many better shows on other networks comparably that makes this list obsolete unless all you care about is Netflix and if so I feel sorry for your selections of shows.

no state can take the claim to fame of being a baller with Black Mirror as its number one show. . .how disappointing.

Vermont being the really only one standing out made me smile.
