Which ones do you guys think are better in regards to noise and performance and static pressure?

These will replace the standard Corsair H100i fans I have that I find too noisy.

I can’t find the SP spec on the Typhoon, but they are close on air flow at 100%.

The Noctua does run slightly slower. Barring anyone’s personal experience (I do not have with these two specifically) - I would nod at the Noctua.

I have used both brands and would recommend either as good quality fans,
 
The F12 has been succeeded by the A12x25, which is basically a GT in Noctua clothing.

Really the major/only downside to the A12x25 is the absurd price lol.
 
I have one of the Noctuas in the size you are looking at, but I have 8 of them in the next size up, 140mm.

They are fantastic fans, able to push a lot of air through my radiators. I originally bought them 3 years ago because at that time there was almost nothing at 140mm with decent static pressure. At 120mm there were plenty of options though. The only fans I could find at the time with real static pressure at 140mm where the industrial Noctuas.

At full blast (~1800rpm?) they are very loud, so you'll want something with PWM fan control to control them. I used to control mine manually with a custom fan controller I built, but I just installed an Aquero a couple of weeks ago. I use a fan curve thst keeps mine running at about 480rpm at idle water temps, where they are completely inaudible. At 600rpm I can just about start hearing them over the pump, but only barely, and it is an intrusive white noise whoosh. That noise rides gradually. Normal gaming tends to get to between 700rpm and 1200rpm depending on how warm it is. At full blast of about 1800rpm they sound like they are prepari g for takeoff.

I have never used the Gentle Typhoons for comparison.

OP, I run a push-pull setup with the NF-A12x25 and they are amazing fans albeit a bit expensive. There are some reviews out there measuring CFM post radiator/noise level and compare their loudness vs others. They keep my loop normally 3c above ambient and they can get noisy but I game with headphones though so noise doesn’t really bother me.

When I am off mobile I’ll see if I can find those reviews.

I'm hoping they make a 140mm version of these at some point. If they provide equivalent pressure and flow at a lower noise level, I'm all In.
 
Gentle typhoon ap15 are the best fans ever made for radiator and tight dust filter environment.. it is the reason why once the patent expired noctua noctua used the same desing for the NF-A12x25.. I haven't used the noctua version but the scythe version and i haven't found yet a proper replacement for it.

So do I, right now using their adapters since I swapped rads mid build. When they make a 140mm version I’ll be buying those.
 
Gentle typhoons are the ones that ALWAYS come up in these conversations for 120mm applications.

Honestly, for 120mm radiator applications, I wouldn't bother looking at anything else.

The trick comes when you are looking at sizes other than 120mm, as Gentle Typhoons appear to be a 120mm only thing.

Back in 2015 when I bought my Noctua iPPC fans, there wasn't much available at 140mm. These days there are some more options, with the EK Vardar fans getting good press here. I have no idea how they compare to my Noctuas. They are pricy, so replacing all of my Noctuas is not in the cards right now, unless I get some very good indications that they significantly outperform them at the same noise level, which I have yet yo see.

I tried to take a video of my setup at various fan rpm's for comparison. I know it wouldn't be perfect, as it is very difficult to convey sound levels.

It turns out my phone battery has gotten so bad that if I just try to take a video it shuts down. I really need to get the battery replaced, but apparently so many first gen Pixel owners are doing this right now, that the batteries are difficult to find in stock.
