Acer Predator XB271HU 27" IPS G-Sync Monitor for $442 after discount

Truly awesome monitor. Have owned one for years and loved it. Pair this thing with a 1080 or 1080 ti (or 20 series of course) and it can do either high refresh/high fps or ultra settings/gsync without issue.

Have one as well..as the other poster said paired with a 1080 or ti or higher --- buttah. Just hate it is newegg. their shipping is pony express level bad

Mine was ordered Wednesday, when I posted this... and delivered on Saturday. Even though it said delivery would be by today.

I have to wait until Christmas to try it out though, wife said it's my only Christmas present. And it'll be paired with my RTX 2080. I can't wait!

The only thing that would bother me about these monitors is the bezel at the bottom. If you stick two monitors together at an angle, it will create a small gap between the monitors that for some reason drive me up a wall. I'm still waiting for the pg279q's to go on sale for sub $400

i'd open it now.

these had some terrible QA when they were first released, don't know if it ever improved.

Mine looks pretty good, minimal backlight bleed, no dead pixel. There is a yellowish tint when looking at white backgrounds, not sure if that’s normal, but not a big deal.

Manufactured in April 2018

yep, i ordered one years ago and could not deal with the yellow tint on that or the dell 27" TN, returned both.

There’s a scratch on the bezel, maybe I should complain to Newegg. It’s a little annoying to look at lol. I don’t think it’s worth to replace.

Finally opened it and hooked it yesterday. Looks amazing! No dead pixels or any issues that I can see. One strange thing though... there is a small, maybe 3 mm border around the sides and top, but not on the bottom, no matter what resolution I set it to. I figured it would run all the way to the edge completely on the sides for doing 2 monitors side by side, not that I have a second one to do that with. Either way, it still works and looks amazing. I have it at 160hz and 1440p, G-sync enabled with my Zotac RTX 2080. Played a little Destiny 2 and Need For Speed on it. No tearing at all.

seen a lot of these thin/zero bezel monitors like that. if you look at pieownz picture you can actually see the display bezel within the panel.

Yeah, my Dell S2716DG has slightly bigger bezels than the Acer. I got use to it after a while. It's not really a big deal to me but, it might be annoying to some.
