The Division 2

I got to play about 8 hrs worth before it expired. They sent the invite to my old email address (I should have remembered this), so I didn't notice it right away.

In any respect, obviously I cannot talk about much, but I have to say I'm considerably more excited for the game now. I was looking forward to it already, I have about 900 hrs in Division 1, but I was more impressed with this than I thought I would be with an Alpha. A lot can change, but they've made some nice improvements to the game mechanics overall; Washington was an excellent choice for locale; ranking, enemies and weapons all feel really good. I was most impressed with the improvement in audio over D1. The guns have an accuracy & punch in this game, they sounded like airsoft rifles in D1. Enemies are more diversified, but still feel familiar. Smarter this go around, they will work to flank you, some more aggressively than others. Visually the game is a nice improvement over D1. The Alpha was a bugfest, don't get me wrong, but even with that I came away impressed.

Looking forward to the Beta, they still have a lot of work to do before launch. The game feels like it is heading in the right direction however.

I wonder how they pick who gets alpha access, i have over 400 hrs into D1 and never got an invite, gaming buddy of mine never even played the first and he got alpha

I searched for this and didn't find it, thanks for the link. This thread should be closed now.

I do think it is random. I have over 900hr in Division 1, but I have friends with over 2500 who did not get an invite.

Might depend on the hardware, trying as many combinations as possible, or maybe just random.
